Originally delivered in 2009, GiGi is the first “RestoMod” among the only 13 Grand Banks 47 Heritage Classics ever built. In response to growing demand for fast trawlers, beginning in 2007 Grand Banks offered its all-time most popular Classic model on a 47’ Sparkman & Stephens planing hull.
During 2024 and 2025, GiGi was completely reconfigured and repowered by Passagemaker author Frank Scavone and has been featured in numerous articles chronicling its restoration and travels along the eastern seaboard and the Bahamas. GIGI now features 2024 model Twin Cummins 600hsp QSC 8.3 engines facilitate a comfortable cruising speed of 23 MPH at 85% engine load and a maximum speed of 29.7MPH.
At the time the engines were replaced, the engine room soft patch was redesigned into an insulated hatch that facilitates full and easy engine access. The Onan generator and 4 zone Dometic HVAC system are also both new. The new custom teak swim platform is designed on a hydraulic lift and configured for easy storage and launch of a new ULT 300 tender custom painted in Grand Banks white. Decks have been refinished in non-skid and all steps, seats and hatch covers have been rebuilt in solid teak. Custom canvas covers protect finished toe rails and placards. Yes – The custom canvas railing saddlebag holds 2 folding Dahon bikes!
This fantastic yacht offers two suites fore and aft with ensuite heads for privacy and island queens in both. Her salon is spacious with plentiful seating with a mid-level galley featuring a large pantry and granite counters. VESSEL WALKTHROUGH
Entry is via an aft port-side door leading directly into the salon. The salon features a large L-shaped settee to starboard and a comfortable barrel chair with ottoman to port. Inboard of the settee is an extendable high/low table that converts easily between dining and coffee-table use.
The lower helm is located opposite the galley and is well integrated into the main deck layout. The helm station includes a side-deck access door, an oversized single STIDD helm chair, and a fully integrated electronics console designed for flush-mounted instrumentation and a clean, modern presentation.
The galley is positioned to port, mid-level, two steps down from the salon and two steps up from the forward companionway. It is a highly efficient U-shaped design offering excellent storage and functionality. Appliances include a microwave, under-counter Sub-Zero refrigerator, and separate stand-up under-counter freezer. A Ceran glass cooktop is set into granite countertops, and a large pantry provides additional storage.
Forward, the guest stateroom features an island queen berth, a full-size hanging locker, and a combination washer/dryer discreetly integrated into the aft bulkhead behind teak access doors. Abundant storage is found throughout.
The forward guest head is designed for versatility, with dual access allowing it to function as either an en-suite or day head. A cleverly engineered fold-out shower expands the showering space when deployed while keeping the remainder of the head dry. When stowed, it significantly increases usable space within the compartment.
Throughout the interior, cabinetry reflects Grand Banks’ signature joinery, resembling fine teak furniture with a satin finish accented by gloss detailing. Hardware is stainless steel and robustly constructed, emphasizing both durability and craftsmanship.
The aft master stateroom is notably spacious, featuring a walk-around queen berth, a walk-in hanging locker, a mirrored vanity with seating for grooming, and extensive drawer and cabinet storage. The en-suite master head includes a generous separate stall shower with a secure, non-leaking door system. The shower enclosure and sole are finished in Corian for ease of maintenance and long-term durability.
Additional interior features include courtesy lighting, teak and holly soles, custom window shades, upgraded fabrics, and recessed overhead lighting throughout.

ENGINE ROOM & MECHANICAL EQUIPMENT
GIGI was repowered in June of 2024 and is now equipped with two new Cummins engines which provide 50hp increase from originals which increase overall speed and performance. Cruising speeds from 20+ knots with top speed 26 knots.
