REFIT 2016:

GLOBAL (formerly known as Kismet) was refitted in 2016 by its original building yard Lurssen. The new design-concept by thefount provides the now 74m superyacht with a completenew identity for exterior and some interior areas.

The design deploys the 6m elongation of the hull together with the extensions on bridge and upper decks to implement a horizontal black and white scheme for the decks. Lightness and luxury form a symbiosis which shapes the new face of GLOBAL interior – same as exterior wise.

The new stern design integrates a beach club and spa area into the lower deck, making use of the innovative inward-turning large stern door.

A newly created in and outdoor dining area with luxury wine lounge is adding a design and event highlight on the bridge deck aft for the owner and up to 12 accommodated guests.

The extension of a gym and large private office areas on the upper deck, the new owner's suite swing-out terrace same as the extended helipad underline the new special individual quality of the superyacht GLOBAL.

A successful cooperation of the owner with thefount, Lurssen and the fit out companies allowed for the realization of the sophisticated design concept including a complex technical refit of the whole boat within 8 months production time.

The refit in Holland included renewing all the mechanical and electrical systems in totality plus deep diving all tanks, and bilges and technical spaces. We renewed electrical switch boards, serviced emergency generator and exhaust systems etc. we did all mandatory survey works and mega tests of electrical installations etc .

We fitted three new generators, added urea tank system, renewed electrical switchboard, added new transformers, shore power system, transformed the ballast water to technical water system to conform to ballast water convention new rules. There was a compete rebuild of the main engines, vibration analysis , drive line alignment, replacement of all fresh water and salt water systems and pumps, rebuild of hydraulic systems including stabilizers and rebuild of the sewerage system.

Everything electrical and mechanical was done. The only thing not renewed was the stern thruster as it never required an overhaul based on hours.
