"Griffin" is arguably the nicest 72 Marlow Explorer on the market. Her owner's dedication and attention to detail has touched every inch of this boat, and it shows. Over $1 million spent in improvements over the last 5 years; please see full listing under the "Other details" below. Beyond her spacious four staterooms, three heads (also crew quarters and head), she's been constantly updated over the last seven years. This boat is so functional she has allowed a cruising couple to easily, and very comfortably, operate her from the Chesapeake Bay, to Florida and the Bahamas. She is consistently used and is currently cruising South Florida and the Bahamas, Winter 2025.

The Command Bridge of the 72E-CB is an impressive spot to both run the boat, in any condition, with 360 degree views and a serious electronics package for cruising. Not only will you be able to operate the boat in complete comfort, but have another living and entertaining area, with two L shaped seats and teak tables, refrigerator and entertainment.
A spacious salon with free standing furniture (you can easily swap out what you like) with custom teak blinds, large windows, entertainment center and bar.
The large galley is centrally located, makes for a great spot to entertain. Plenty of refrigeration and freezers (along with additional refrigeration on the command bridge and crew quarters/utility-work room) you can easily provision for multiple months of food.
The forward portion of the main deck, up three steps from the salon, is the large, open and airy, pilothouse. Brightly lit from her glass windows forward, or overhead lighting, has a large dinette to port, the galley aft, and small helm forward to the starboard side.
The full beam owner's suite is located amidships, with the king sized berth centerline. Built in, teak night stands, flank the berth, with reading lamps and beveled glass mirrors. The en-suite head is aft of the stateroom, with access on the starboard side, and has a vanity with double sinks, head and large stall shower. On the aft port side, is a walk in closet. The stateroom has four hanging lockers and multiple (12) drawers and is also where the washer and dryer are located.
This guest stateroom has twin, side by side berths, with a large mirror and nightstand between them. Forward of the is a full sized hanging locker, and ensuite head, with vanity, sink, head and stall shower. There is also a door to enter the head from the companionway, for the guests in the Starboard guest stateroom (the only stateroom with ensuite head access).
The Lower Aft Deck has uninterrupted teak decks and a built-in seating area with table. This yacht has an extended upper boat deck that provides full overhead protection from rain and sun. The salon door is very large and when it is open, the lower deck and salon become one for entertaining. There is a docking station in the lower aft deck that has engine controls, thruster controls.
Entering the the engine room from either transom (watertight and hydraulic) door, or aft cockpit lazarette access, into the utility/crew quarters, has full standup headroom and is air-conditioned. Currently set up as a utility room/work shop, this room is easily converted back to the double berths and head.
There is good access to all sides of the engines and this spotless room is brightly lit with upgraded LED lighting. The sea chest is at the forward end of the engine room and provides sea water to the engines, generator, air-conditioning, and all the other items on the yacht that need sea water for cooling. Each item has its own shut-off valve for servicing. The two plumbed together 1,500 gallon fuel tanks are just in front of the forward engine room bulkhead. This is the center of buoyancy of the yacht so your running angle will not change as your fuel level changes. The fuel tanks also provide an additional layer of soundproofing between the engines and the cabins forward.
This is what sets "Griffin" apart from her peers. Not only can you say "dialed in" but the dedication, money and effort, make for a truly spectacular vessel. Much here would need to be explained in depth, for the special touches that we are confident no other Marlow has. We have invoices and receipts and captain's logs for every time this gorgeous boat moves.
