The Beneteau 423 is widely considered one of the most successful mid-sized cruising sailboats ever built. Designed by Groupe Finot, it is celebrated for balancing a spacious, high-volume interior with surprisingly nimble sailing performance. The boat is known for a light, responsive helm and impressive acceleration. It handles well in light winds but is stiff enough to stand up in a breeze due to its bulb keel. Built to CE Offshore A standards, the solid fiberglass hull utilizes Beneteau's "grid system" for stiffness. Most model features all lines led aft to the cockpit with in-mast furled mainsail, making it an excellent choice for solo or couple cruising. The interior is noted for its "stunning" cherry-stained woodwork (Douka) and abundant natural light from numerous skylights. Ho'onalu has the (Two-Cabin Layout) preferred by private owners. It features a massive owner's suite forward with a centerline berth and a large galley to starboard. • The galley features a front-loading refrigerator, separate freezer, and deep sinks, designed to be functional even while underway.

Bimini and dodger are still in good shape but isinglass in the dodger is removed and needs replaced. In-mast main roller furled sail with roller furled foresail are reported to be 6 years old with very light use. Code O downwind sail reported 2-3 times use.
