INDIGO
M/Y INDIGO Background
INDIGO, (ex-FAYREWEATHER) is a very unique vessel designed by Penn Edwards and custom built by Eric Goertz in 2000 for a family in Cape Cod. Built of Kevlar glass, balsa cored with carbon fiber reinforced structure, she is surely one of a kind. At 60’ overall a beam of only 11’5” and a draft of 2’5”, she is distinctively long, fast and narrow with a light displacement.
Powered by twin 425 hp Yanmar 6LY’s she cruises at 24 knots and can achieve 32 knots. Her beautifully appointed Teak crafted interior accommodates up to 5 guests. Two heads with en-suite showers coupled with a well thought out galley with a Fisher Panda generator ensure comfortable cruising or day tripping. The Hamilton Jet drives provide for unique performance, especially for a 60’ Motor Yacht. Whether you are running in the back country of the Florida Keys with the flats boats, crossing the Gulf Stream, safely negotiating the Bahamas Banks or just spelunking the notorious ICW, INDIGO is well suited for whatever you have in mind.
As the Owner cruised these past 5 seasons, sometimes with charter guests or with family from Key West to Down East Maine, they were constantly impressed with INDIGO’S comfort, performance and functionality. Unlike most motor yachts which are designed from the inside out, INDIGO is surely designed from the outside in.

I have often heard potential Buyers ask me about the Owner and his experience....here is some background on Paul McGrail, Owner of Indigo.....
Paul McGrail is a life long sailor who is a credentialed Master Mariner for over 42 years. He successfully founded, built and operated sailing tour boat businesses in Key West and Maine. Sebago Watersports was one of the first day charter large catamarans in the continental US, founded by Paul in 1988.
After 32 years, Paul and his Partner sold this successful operation of four sailing catamarans (2 at 125 pax and 2 at 65 pax, to a publicly traded company). They had carried above 120,000 passengers a year and had upwards of 40 employees.
Over the past decade, Paul and his partners have pivoted to the traditional sailing Windjammer model business.
They currently operate wooden schooners in Key West, Camden and Boothby Harbor, Maine. Paul enjoys captaining full time, summers in Maine, part time winters in Key West and transiting their 86' , 49 passenger, APPLEDORE annually, between Key West and Camden, Maine. Paul credits his early career working in almost every facet of the yachting industry with providing him a well balanced background for the day sail business.
INDIGO is a jet drive vessel. It handles a bit differently than your average motor yacht. Post sale, Paul will provide the new Owner or his Captain with on water expertise in her operation. We want you to be able to access her full potential effortlessly!
