HISTORY
KA HALE KAI is a 1982 Cheoy Lee 52 Ketch Motorsailer designed by Pieter Beeldsnijder and built by the renowned Cheoy Lee Shipyard in Hong Kong.
She is currently Canadian registered and has cruised extensively under her current ownership, including significant time in the Eastern Mediterranean. Her cruising history includes passages from the Pacific Northwest through the Panama Canal and across the Atlantic, demonstrating both the capability of the design and the confidence of her owners in the vessel.
Previous ownership included professional removal of the original teak decks together with hull peeling and application of a barrier coating system, helping to protect the vessel's long-term structural integrity.
