The 2004 40 Cabo express “KING’S RANSOM” is a fantastic example of the 40 Cabo express. Her Michael Peters hull design sets the standard by which all other boats this size are measured. She has a sharp entry with a large bow flare for a soft dry head sea ride. Her wide beam, shallow draft and partial keel make for a stable comfortable ride in both beam and following seas. Cabo build quality, fit, finish and electrical engineering is well known as best in class. Immaculate is a word used far too loosely in yacht marketing, but “KING’S RANSOM” lives up to that billing in every way. She has been FULLY PAINTED by Waterworks Yacht refinishing in Boynton Beach FL. No expense has been sparred in her upkeep. Records of MAN service, annual service and all underwater maintenance are available to qualified buyers. If you are in the market for a premium brand, meticulously maintained 40-foot express boat, your search should start and end with “KING’S RANSOM”. Below please find a list of some of her factory options, customizations, and highlights.

The cockpit of the 40 Cabo “KING’S RANSOM” is all business! Whether fishing, diving or cocktail cruising she has it all. Her 15’9” beam is very evident and there is tons of room to work and maneuver. Cockpit features include:
Two small steps up from the cockpit brings you to the climate-controlled helm deck. She is very comfortably appointed and offers great seating and views of all the action. There is an L shaped seating area to port with updated beige buckskin ultra leather. Across to stbd is a tackle storage center with a flat top. This spot is good for a great many things. I have seen it used as a bar, Hors de orves serving, tackle and gear placement. Currently outfitted with a custom cushion and utilized as a nice, elevated seat.
Additional helm deck highlights include:
Just to starboard of the centerline helm is a door that slides open to access the lower accommodations. Three steps down brings you in the salon/galley area. The Cabo interior finish is clean, simple, and like the rest of the boat best in class. The salon sole is solid teak and holly, a factory option, and all the cabinetry is solid satin finished teak. No high gloss milky veneer finishes like on other manufacturers. To Starboard is the L shaped ultra-leather sofa with high gloss teak table. This table is removable and then the sofa transforms into a pull-out bed and the back flips up to create a bunk. Also, to stbd aft is a large stand-up rod locker.
To port is the galley and aft is a full head. Features include:
“KING’S RANSOM” has a hard forward bulkhead and door giving separation and privacy to the Master Stateroom.
Additional highlights and features include:
“KING’S RANSOM” has a custom low profile short gap tuna tower. She has an updated GARMIN tower unit, VHF, and Auto Pilot as well as canvas cover.
The engine room on the 40 Cabo has a glassed in gel coat liner that makes clean up a breeze. Fluids, oil or dirt does not get into the fiberglass filaments and texture like other inferior finished vessels. The engine room on “KING’S RANSOM” shows exceptional, just like the rest of the vessel. She has low original hours (1950 7/25) with winter 24/25 2000-hour MAN service. Engine room access is from a helm deck day hatch or the helm deck will tilt it up for huge access on two large hydraulic rams.
