La Cura has had a ton of time and money invested in her over the past two years. All of the below upgrades and work was completed between 2022 and 2023

Engines, Saildrives and Generators (2022 - 2023)

• all zincs replaced

• helm engine gauges and trim pieces repaired and sensors reattached

• sail drives seven year serviced with new boots and seals installed

• engines serviced, new hoses where necessary, all cleaned and lubed

• generators serviced and grounded, new hoses where necessary, all cleaned, repainted and lubed

• new max prop folding props added

• all hoses (fuel/seawater/ water) double clamped

• new generator batteries added

• generator sound shield repaired

• engine room bilge pumps serviced / starboard replaced with new

• port engine new starter added with stored backup

Electronics (2022 - 2023)

• new hailer/ horn installed

• new chartplotter added

• new ais 800 added 

• new iridium sat phone added

• starlink satellite dish and router added

• new vhf handhelds added / one at helm and one at nav station w/ new backups in box

• all garmin maps updated and new maps added

• forward viewing sonar added

• all nav lights serviced and operable

Mechanical / Electrical / Plumbing (2022 - 2023)

• all electrical wiring checked for wear and secured properly

• installed new fresh water pump w/ back up in box

• purchased new autopilot pump

• sea whisper water maker serviced and operable to 70-80 gph / filters replaced

• water tanks cleaned and disinfected / new level sensors added

• all refrigerators, freezers, and cold storage units serviced

• all shower sumps repaired and operable

• all dometic air handlers cleaned, flushed, thermostats replaced and serviced for any leaks

• new underwater lights replaced and operable

• purchased new backup circuits and fuses

Ground Tackle (2022 - 2023)

• anchor chain checked, painted at 15m intervals and color zip tied / reattached to hull with nylon cut-away rode / new windlass motor added

• 60m lightly used BBB Chain

• added back up Danforth anchor with additional chain purchased

• tender davit serviced and operable

• all winch button boots replaced

• all running rigging, winches, shackles, blocks, and cars all serviced

• standing rigging replaced where necessary / serviced and adjusted

Safety/ Emergency Devices/ First Aid (2022 - 2023)

• new manual bilge pump handle added

• upgraded marine first aid kit with defibrillator

• smoke distress day flares/night flares/flare launcher

• new epirb/ emergency VHF handheld/ (2) ais sarts/ backup emergency VHF with solar charger

• eight offshore type iPFD

• oceanic eight person life raft

• new trash pump replaced and tested with emergency placard attached

• rules of the road purchased and stored at nav station

• all fire extinguisher replaced with new

• additional gas/ smoke/ carbon monoxide alarms added

• bungs attached at each seacock and thru hull

Interior (2022 - 2023)

• all interior bilges cleaned and operable

• all seacocks checked for reliability, lubed and replaced where necessary

• all shower doors repaired and operable

• cabinetry and hardware repaired

• galley cooktop and oven rebuilt and checked for gas leaks

• led for night passage added nav station and steps

• all cushions steam cleaned, repaired and retreated

• all interior air fans serviced

Exterior (2022 - 2023)

• led for night passage added at helm and helm steps

• complete deoxidation/ wax / buff and polish

• all teak flooring and rub rails sanded cleaned, recaulked where necessary with protectant added

• new helm bimini and dodger added

• new helm seat added

• aft swim ladder recaulked and resealed

• full cockpit dodger cleaned, repaired and protectant added

• all exterior cushions cleaned, repaired and protectant added

• all deck lockers and storage lockers scuppers and drains cleaned and operable

• broken antal pad eye at mast replaced with new

• all hatches springs serviced and replaced where necessary

• lewmar hatch covers resealed, recaulked, handles and hinges serviced and repaired

• dining cockpit table refinished/ new hinges added
