Nordic Tugs 37 Pilothouse - Same owners since 2004
In one of Nordic Tugs marketing brochures their tagline for the NT32 - NT37 & NT42 was "The Natural Choice for the Serious Mariner". While this was a good eye-catching tagline and true, it's also true that a Nordic Tugs is also a great family cruiser, a trawler that is easily handled by a single yachtsperson and it also makes a pretty darn good liveaboard. It doesn't matter if your waterways are rivers or ocean coastal cruising, the Nordic Tugs were designed to cruise in comfort and safely get you to your dream destination.

The NT37 offers a handcrafted satin finished teak interior with an open salon/pilothouse design that creates a much larger feel than the trawlers 37' size would lead you to believe. Features include a bright open salon with a large L-shaped settee that converts into a double berth, also a large L-shaped chef's delight galley with quality appliances and plenty of counter space to prepare gourmet meals. The pilothouse offers dual cruising settees and port/starboard sliding deck access doors and a starboard side helm with updated Raymarine navigational eqiupment. Just a couple steps forward of the pilothouse is the owners and guest staterooms and a head with stall shower.
Salon
Access to the salon from the aft cockpit is via a Diamond Sea Glaze swing door. The salon walls and cabinetry are a satin finished teak with light colored soft-goods, ceiling panels and blinds that create a bright warm feeling. Salon features include a portside L-shaped settee that converts into a double berth, a teak hi-low dining/coffee table, settee end table/storage cabinet, a large L-shaped galley with solid surface countertops, opening windows and carpeted flooring.
Owner's stateroom
The owner's stateroom features an island queen pedestal bed with built-in storage drawers, headboard reading lights, port and starboard storage cabinets, Bomar skylight with Ocean-air screens, raised panel style teak cabinetry, diesel heat and carpeted flooring.
Guest stateroom
The guest stateroom features stacked double and single berths with reading lights, dual opening portlights, night table with mirror, hanging locker and drawer storage.
Head
The head is a nice combination of teak and light Formica wall panels with an opening portlight which creates a nice spacious feeling that is bright. Features include a vanity with cabinet storage, a porcelain sink and chrome finished faucet, Vacuflush toilet and a large stall shower.
The galley is located on the starboard side of the main salon, it is L-shaped in design and fills the entire starboard side, providing exceptional countertop food preparation space but also very good drawer and cabinet storage. The countertops are solid surface material (Corian I believe) with a solid surface incorporated sink. Appliances include a 3-burner stainless steel oven, Nordcold refrigerator and separate freezer, coffee maker and a microwave oven. There is a large opening window in front of the sink which is a nice feature for natural airflow and enjoying the surrounding views while in the galley.
Electrical power for LAGNAF is via 125V/30A shore power, the Onan generator and the trawlers DC battery system. All power is managed through the power distribution panels located in the pilothouse.
Propulsion power is provided by a single Cummins 6BTA 5.9M3 330HP diesel engine, coupled to a TwinDisc transmission. The trawlers semi-displacement design lets the vessel sip fuel at 8-knots while cruising comfortably at 10 and offering top speeds of 16 knots+.
The pilothouse is a bright open space, designed to give the helmsperson great visibility over the bow and also the availability of seeing through the main salon to the swim platform. The PH is equipped with dual-double width cruising settees with footrests, a well-appointed helm station, port and starboard sliding side deck access doors, diesel heat and great counter space where you can lay out your charts or use as your lunch serving bar on long cruises. The engine room is located under the pilothouse and floor hatches provide easy access to the space. A nice navigation feature is the updated Raymarine electronics including an Axiom Plus 12RV display, 4kw HD Color radar antenna and Autopilot.
