• 3 cabin / 3 head owners version layout.
• Each cabin features a Queen berth and private head with separate shower.
• The owners cabin encompasses the entire starboard hull and features several hatches and portlights for light and ventilation, large doorways for ease of movement, and lots of practical storage for extended cruising. 
• The owners head features a dry space with a washer/dryer combo, vanity, sink and a separate shower area and a composting head. Forward of the shower area is a door that leads to a workshop space in the bow with tool storage and a bench vice.
• To port there are two guest cabins with ensuite heads.
• The toilets in the port side guest heads are electric flush and freshwater plumbed (can switch to raw water flush if desired, but the freshwater flush virtually eliminates the "head" smell onboard). The toilet in the owners cabin is a composting head which also has no smell and is requires virtually no maintenance.

The Vision 444 is constructed with advanced composite materials using vacuum-infusion techniques, resulting in an exceptionally robust yet lightweight framework that eliminates structural wood and supports long-term durability. Even in confused seas, the boat is remarkably quiet, with no squeaking or creaking underway.

• All components are vacuum resin infused using a foam core and premium vinylester resins.
• Vacuumed foam sandwich furniture components that are structurally bonded to the hull.
• All lockers are painted with polyester topcoats to ensure durability and a premium finish.

Cockpit Features:

• Soft foam EVA decking in the cockpit provides comfort underfoot. Unlike teak, individual sections can be easily replaced if damaged or stained.
• The starboard helm features a fold-down footstep, ensuring optimal visibility during challenging maneuvers such as docking. The helm's lower position allows the operator to remain engaged with guests on board and enables clear visual communication, particularly important during watches. 
• A storage locker beneath the helm seat has been adapted for organized stowage of shore power cables and hoses.
• Locker hatches are equipped with stainless steel gas struts, which hold them open securely and facilitate soft opening and closing to prevent accidental slamming.
• Side access doors ("Dolphin" doors) permit easy boarding of passengers and bulky items, supporting up to 1,000 lbs.
• Sliding bars on the transom scoops are more durable compared to standard lifelines. An integrated slot for washboards prevents water ingress in following seas, and helps keep items in the cockpit from accidentally going overboard.
• Spacious, ergonomic cockpit seating accommodates entertaining, sleeping, or relaxation, with a custom waterproof storage bag provided for cockpit cushions.
• The sliding cockpit door and galley window retract into the structural framework to preserve protection while providing a seamless transition between interior and exterior spaces. Custom bug screens keep insects out while allowing excellent airflow.

The Vision 444 delivers standout sailing performance with balanced handling and effortless tacking with a self-tacking jib—well-suited to short-handed crews. Precision rudders and a raised helm with clear views aid docking and navigation. Mainsail and jib controls are accessible from the protected helm, featuring electric helm winches, soft-shackle rigging, and a twin-sheet mainsheet bridle system which provides built-in gybe prevention.

• Sparcraft in boom furler, which is significantly lighter than a Leisure furl thanks to a carbon fiber mandrel and a reliable continuous furling line.
• The boom furler enables reefing the main at every batten (most sails have one or two reef points).
• Self-tacking furling jib.
• Mainsail and Jib are upgraded North Sails NPL Tour performance laminate sails, which are lighter weight, higher strength, and more durable.
• NPL Code 55 sail (761 sqft - lightweight Genoa type sail).

• Locking Spinnaker halyard that attaches to the head of the mast. This reduces chafing at the top of the halyard and to eliminate the need for the Spinnaker halyard to be on a winch (it will only be used with the Spinnaker in a sock). 
• Tack tensioner on the jib halyard that eliminates the need for bringing the jib halyard back to the winches.
• Mainsail and Jib lines lead aft to the helm, making single handing sailing a breeze.
• (2) Upgraded Harken 50 electric winches with foot pedal controls, allowing both hands free for handling lines.
• (2) Harken 60 manual winches for recovering the Jordan Series Drogue.

• Upgraded 40hp Yanmar diesel engines with 1800 engine hours.

• Keenan Fuel Boss dual fuel filter and polishing system. Never worry about sketchy fuel again, and you can easily switch to a new fuel filter with a flip of a lever and no need to reprime.

• Easy engine access under the bunks with a nice seat and storage for tools and parts.

• Integrel System. Lazy Lightning is the first Vision 444 with an Integrel Solutions power system, which is like an alternator on steroids.  It has the capability of producing up to 8kW of power on EACH engine, eliminating the need for a generator, saving you space and the need to carry more spare parts. These are mounted directly to the diesel engines.
• Most boats will use the alternators on the engines to keep their boats electronics functioning, but they cannot generate enough power for cooking, air conditioning, or hot water.  Typical boats will have a separate standalone 5-7kW generator to charge the batteries for those big loads.  The Integrel system are super big alternators that fit on the diesel engine and output 8kW apiece, fully replenishing the battery bank in under an hour.

• (2) 16,000 BTU Reverse cycle Heat/AC units with variable speed heat pump units, which operates off the inverter. Once the desired temperature is reached, it kicks into dehumidify mode to maintain the temperature, making them super efficient. 

Lazy Lightning has a whopping 25kWh of battery banks, 2,100 W of solar panels, and the Integrel generators meaning you always have enough power for anything you need onboard. The owner of the boat is an electrical engineer, so he really had some fun planning this system!  Redundancy was his top priority, so he planned the batteries in three systems to ensure there's never a lack of power onboard. 

• 48V bank (4 batteries / 400 amp hours, Victron Lithium Ion Batteries, 2021):  Originally, the boat was planned to be powered with electric engines, requiring a 48V battery bank to power the engines and all of the big systems onboard. However, when the first hull with electric engines came off the line and didn't perform as spec'd, the owners opted to install Yanmar diesels instead. However, the 48V battery bank was already installed in the boat.  The owner chose to utilize this systems by integrating them with the Integrel system he had installed on the engines and the massive solar array to capture and store all of the energy available. The 48V system runs the A/C, hot water heaters, Inverter for AC loads and charges the 24V system if needed.

• 24V bank (2 batteries in parallel / 200 amp hours, Victron Lithium Ion Batteries, 2021): The 24V bank was enlarged and split into two 24V LiFePO4 batteries in parallel to form an array.   That way if one battery fails, the 24V system can still work.  These batteries have a 5kWh storage capacity and can accept input from the solar panels, the 12V bank via the engines, or the 48V bank. 

• 12V bank (lead acid batteries, 2025): (2) 12V engine start batteries connected to a 12V bus with a battery switch. This allows them to be charged either by the engine or topped off by the 24V to 12V step-down charger.  The advantages to the bus are that both starter batteries can be charged when the engines are not running. If one 12V battery fails, the other can be used to start the engine on the failed side.

• Split Solar Arrays (6 panels @ 350W/ea. 2,100W total). The solar arrays are split into two groups: (4) aft panels feeding the 48V bank and (2) forward panels on each side of the boat that can either charge the 48V as a pair or the 24V array in parallel.  A special high speed switch was added to the forward array to allow it to switch how the panels were wired (series or parallel) and where the current flows. You have control over which battery bank is charging depending on the situation you need... 24V when sailing (to keep the loads from navigation, auto-pilot, and winches covered) or 48V while anchored to power the cooking, A/C, and inverter loads.

• Lightning Dissipation System helps to reduce the amount of damage from a lightning strike and eliminates static charge. The result is a drop down grounding conductor providing a direct path from the top of the mast to the water and a series of conductors at the waterline to build a faraday cage around the outside of the boat.  

• (2) Victron Quattro 5k 120V Inverter / Charger system.
• 240V inverter for washer/dryer combo.
• Victron Isolation Transformer accepts 240V or 120V from shore power.
• Victron MPPT controllers for solar array.
• SmartPlug for safer shore power connection (several adapters included).
• Surge Protector on shore power connection .
• LED lighting throughout with ambient lighting recessed in overhead panels.
• Salon and cockpit lights can be switched to red for overnight passages.

Plumbing:

• (2) composite water tanks @ 75 gallons each (150 gallons total), located in each keel.
• 30gph Cruise R/O Watermaker.  As long as you have power, you can make water. 
• ShurFlo direct shore freshwater connection for pressurized water on demand. No need to run the fresh water pump when plugged into marina water.
• Guest heads can be configured to flush with fresh or salt water. Macerator pumps for overboard discharge (where allowed).
• Upgraded bilge pump & shower drain pumps and switches to ensure that all the water gets out.
• Saltwater deck wash pump.
• Saltwater forward anchor rode wash outlet.
