The Able Apogee is designed to be a capable offshore sailing vessel. When you step aboard you immediately realize you are on a boat designed to safely take you to sea. The tall lifelines, cabin-top handrails and stainless steel safety bars make you feel secure as you move about the deck at sea. Her cutter rig gives you more options for changing conditions. The high sided cockpit keeps crew safe on watch. The interior is no different as it is designed to keep her crew safe when moving about in inclement weather. The rich cherry interior with teak and holly sole let you know you are still aboard a proper yacht.
Starting forward is a private stateroom with en-suite wet head. The offset double berth has a filler cushion to make a large V-berth. The hull ports give plenty of natural light while her large overhead hatch supplies plenty of fresh air. There are also two dorade vents to keep fresh air circulating. Storage is divided between drawers under the berth, lockers outboard, hanging lockers and shelving.
The main salon is next aft with a single settee on starboard and an L-shaped settee on port. There is abundant storage here with 5 drawers forward on starboard, lockers outboard on each side and shelving above. Natural light is provided by 4 hull port lights and an overhead hatch. The centerline table has storage inside as well!
The U-shaped galley is aft to port. The galley features double stainless steel sinks, a top loading freezer, top and front loading fridge, four burner Force 10 stove with oven and a microwave oven. Plenty of counter space and lots of well though out storage complete this space. Natural light is provided by an additional hull port light.
The nav station is opposite the galley. A large desk surface, chart drawer and two deep drawers and swing out stool make this a navigators dream! The ships main electric distribution panel is directly across, mounted in the galley island. A hull port provides natural light.
The guest head is located aft of the nav station on starboard. The head features a separate shower stall, vanity, sink, electric head and storage. There is additional access to the aft cabin.
The starboard guest cabin is just aft of the head. It features a double berth with drawers beneath and shelves outboard. There is a seat, hanging locker and natural light is provided by an hull port light. There is direct access to the guest head from here.
The port goes cabin features upper and lower single bunks with lee cloths. There is storage in drawers and a hull port light provides natural light. There is access to the batteries from here. A watertight door separates this cabin from the workshop and machinery spaces.
The workshop and machinery spaces are separated by a large watertight door from the port guest stateroom. There are shelves outboard for tools and supplies. A removable panel gives access to the Yanmar diesel engine. There is easy access to the fuel filters, steering quadrant and autopilot ram.
