The Horizon FD85, Midnight Moon, is a luxury yacht from Horizon Yachts' prestigious FD (Fast Displacement) series. Renowned for its cutting-edge design, expansive interiors, and state-of-the-art engineering, the FD85 delivers exceptional performance while providing opulent amenities.
Stepping aboard Midnight Moon from the hydraulic swim platform, there are matching molded staircases both port and starboard, leading you up to the spacious aft deck. This massive aft area includes a large Corian countertop, sink, refrigerator, ice maker, and ample storage for serving guests. You'll also find a teak hi/lo dining table w/ designer Castelle chairs to seat eight people comfortably, ideal for alfresco dining.
As you step through the large stainless steel sliding glass doors, you enter into the main salon, which greets you with a spacious lounge area complimented with custom stone flooring, a leather sofa, large floor to ceiling windows that offer memorable panoramic views and offer the salon with an abundance of natural light. The 7-foot headroom adds to the luxurious ambiance, and a day-head is conveniently located in the starboard aft corner of the salon and is accessible from both the cockpit and the salon.
Moving just forward from the main salon, you'll be welcomed by a formal dining area featuring a spacious dining table that comfortably accommodates up to 10 guests. A beautiful overhead chandelier gives you a feel of luxury dining, and the adjacent galley boasts high-end appliances, ample storage, and generous counter space. This chef’s galley was designed to meet both formal and casual dining requirements.
Located forward on the main deck, the desirable on deck master stateroom with a king-sized bed facing forward. There are two his/her closets at the master stateroom entrance, a separate head and shower areas between the dual molded raised sinks forward of the bed, a vanity area, large TV, overhead skylight with electric shade and electric full-length curtains.
The lower deck accommodates four guest VIP staterooms. Three of the staterooms feature a queen-size bed, 36-inch TVs, independent Fusion stereo heads and overhead speakers, and en-suite bathrooms. The fourth guest stateroom is equipped with side-by-side twin berths which can slide together to make a double bed, also with a 32-inch TV, and an en-suite bathroom.
The crew quarters are located aft of the engine room and have two convenient entrances both from the swim platform and a private door from the lower aft deck. The crew quarters offer very comfortable living spaces, including a dining area, functional galley, and individual sleeping cabins, each with over/under berths and a bathroom area.
The spacious forward part of the flybridge is fully air conditioned, has a double bench seat at the helm station, a matching double companion seat, a functional wet bar w/ four bar stools, and L lounge opposite of the wet bar with a table and two Castelle director s chairs. Outside the air-conditioned portion of the flybridge is an additional entertaining area with a Jacuzzi tub and three bar stools. If catching some Caribbean sun is on your mind, relax in the four designer Castelle loungers and rest your beverage on their matching Castelle tables. Hungry? Midnight Moon integrates cutting-edge naval architecture and hull design for superior seakeeping and fuel efficiency. Advanced navigation and control systems, including stabilizers, further enhance passenger comfort throughout any voyage. For in climate weather the raised pilot house in the FD series has its reverse-raked windshield design allowing this yacht to navigate in any sea conditions.
The well-ventilated engine room, accessible from either the aft deck or crew quarters, houses twin CAT C32A 1600 hp engines, two 29 kW Onan generators, and other mechanical systems. Its layout provides easy access to maintenance components such as a Reverso fuel-polishing system, Racor fuel filters, and two 900 gpd Sea Recovery water makers.
