The Catalina 355 features a hull design with a long waterline, moderate beam and freeboard, and a handsome low-profile cabin structure. Everywhere you look on the 355, you'll find features that make sailing for the day or for extended periods a pure pleasure. Precise mainsail control is a snap with a 5' long traveler. Long, inboard genoa tracks accommodate headsails from a powerful 155 percent genoa to a storm jib, allowing a balanced sail plan for all wind conditions. The inboard shrouds and hardware facilitates tighter sheeting angles for upwind performance, and wide, unobstructed weather decks for safety. Some features inspired by her predecessor are an articulating forward berth with innerspring mattress, a dedicated filter locker, large cockpit locker with gull wing hatch and available quad-leaf folding table.
From her inception through construction and afterwards, the emphasis has always been placed on cruising comfort. She is a terrific couples or family cruiser, well laid out and equipped including 16000 BTU Air Conditioning/Reverse Cycle Heat. She has been exceptionally well maintained by her knowledgeable owner and is in excellent condition.
The forward cabin features a centerline double berth. There is abundant storage in large drawers and there is a large hanging locker as well. The large offshore-quality foredeck hatch allows plenty of natural light and excellent ventilation. Includes Shades and Screens.
Next aft is the salon including a dinette to starboard. A table with four leaves and makes a great dining table. Fold in the leaves and it becomes cocktail table. Included is the optional dinette cushion to convert it into a double berth..
To port is a small table and two very comfortable seats. The table can drop down and there is a cushion which becomes a bench settee and can be an additional berth. Also located to port is a built-in navigation table with a storage.
The guest cabin is aft to starboard and fits neatly under the cockpit. The double bunk lies athwartship, making great use of the space while providing a comfortable berth and lots of storage and hanging space for gear and clothing.
Fresh water Head is to port with hot/cold shower, vanity, mirror and storage.
The cruising galley is to starboard and features all the amenities and storage you will need while cruising. or weekending
