Positive Vibrations Boat | 43' North Pacific 2011

This 2011 North Pacific is ready for another trip around the Great Loop or the adventure of your choice.

This boat has been around twice already. The NP 43 was designed for long range cruising and comfort. The NP 43 was a great model for North Pacific with many satisfied owners and a  manufacturer that cares about all the boats they build.

The boat has been well kept by it's previous and current owner. It features a single Cummings QSB 5.9/380 HP diesel with around 3,300 hours and cruises at 7.5 knots burning around 3-4 gallons and hour. Bow and stern thrusters provide easy docking. The hydraulic dinghy lift on the huge swim platform gently lowers the dinghy into the water and sets the outboard on the transom.

The 9 KW Northern Lights generator was just serviced and is ready to give you good power away from the dock. The 3000 watt inverter powers up your devices we all find convenient.

Inside is a master stateroom in the bow and a twin berth stateroom to port. The master features a queen walk around bed with storage under. Copious amounts of storage and hanging lockers will store all of your needs.

The bath has a separate shower with a portlight. The Techma head and nice vaity make for a comfortable head. The galley is huge with a both fridge and freezer. microwave, and Princess 3 burner propane stove/oven. It is open to the salon that features a sette that has an articulating table that can be a double berth. A large leather sofa allows for comfortable seating or stretch out for a nap and watch a game. The salon is very open, with sliding windows for plenty of light. A sturdy door opens out onto the cockpit and the swim platform.

The most desired feature of this yacht is the raised pilothouse. Well equipped with Raymarine electronics and all you would need to navigate to points unknown. Features include a port and starboard sliding door for easy access to either the fordeck or the flybridge and great visibility. Also in the pilothouse is a full width bench seat for your guests to join you.

The fybridge offers plenty of space to operate the boat and entertain your guests. Bench seating around a nice teak table and three chairs allow for plenty of seating. The double wide helm seat gives a good views. A bimini top provide shade and protection.

Overall, this yacht is in great condition. The exterior was recently compounded and waxed. The exterior and interior fabrics are exceptional, and it is clean and uncluttered.

2011 North Pacific 43' Pilothouse, Positive Vibration

A beautiful and well equipped, late model, North Pacific 43' Pilothouse. With a spacious salon/galley and pilothouse and two-generous staterooms (guest room with popular bunk layout), the NP43 is a great choice for long range adventure like the Great Loop, East Coast cruising or the Bahamas.

With its solid hull, heavy duty stainless steel fittings, and its spacious, beautifully hand crafted teak interior, the North Pacific 43' Pilothouse is a well-built yacht suitable for comfortable long-range travel even in miserable weather conditions. Not only does the North Pacific 43 offer excellent value, but also good design. We spent 3 years and countless hours ensuring that all equipment was easily accessible and that the useful living and storage areas were maximized on this yacht, from its spacious salon to its extensive upper deck, while never neglecting the minor details that make the difference. The North Pacific 43' can be confidently piloted with an unobstructed view over the high prow from the raised pilothouse, or from the flybridge The NP43 cruises comfortably at 8- 10 knots, produced by the yacht's single 230 hp Cummins diesel engine (twin available). In striving to provide the most to boaters for their dollar, the North Pacific 43 comes fully equipped with a generator, bow thruster, diesel forced air heat, 3000W inverter/charger, Vacuflush toilet, windlass and anchor package, fresh/sea water wash down, and much more (see Specifications). The yacht is very well equipped leaving very few additions which can often lead to dissatisfaction. In all aspects this yacht was designed to satisfy even the most demanding boaters, and is something all prospective yacht owners must see.

At the stern of the yacht there is a fully undercover cockpit approximately 11? X 5?. The cockpit provides a good area for storage, fishing or just sitting and enjoying a nice evening.

It features a large island bed with a comfortable 5", fabric covered foam mattress and two individual reading lights along with two halogen ceiling lights. There is a large storage space under the mattress, four drawers, and two hanging lockers.

Guest Stateroom:On the port side is a spacious guest stateroom with a comfortable bed and two large drawers underneath. The bed is furnished with a 5" fabric covered foam mattresses and two reading lights. A hanging locker on the forward wall and two bookshelves as well as two drawers under the bed provide storage. A vanity mirror with drawers underneath is standard (a cabinet is available instead of the mirror). The guest stateroom can also be furnished with two bunks or made into an office.

Forward Accommodation:Down the stairs at the forward most part of the salon is a hall and access to the forward accommodations, which are designed to provide maximum space and comfort for guests and owners alike. The hall floor is composed of three removable hatches that allow for access to the 50GAL fiberglass holding tank, bilge pump, macerator pump, shower sump pump, sea/fresh water wash down pump and all of the pipes and hoses running fore and aft.

Additional Description

The North Pacific 43? with its pilothouse and trawler style design gives the yacht a bold go-anywhere look. There is no wood anywhere on the outside of the yacht, only stainless steel and fiberglass. This adds to the rugged look, but also lessens considerably the workload in maintaining these yachts. The hull mold is based on a proven 38' CHB hull with a 4' transom extension. The transom extension was made with a very hard chine and this with the 1600 lbs of ballast in the keel make the NP42 a very seaworth yacht while cruising or at anchor.

The hull is solid fiberglass at least 8.5mm (just over 1/3") on the upper sides and between 11.5mm (just over 3/7") to 18.5mm (just over /7") on the bottom and lower sides. There is no coring. A vinylester resin, as opposed to a cheaper polyester resin, is used on the outer layers of the hull. This resin helps to reduce the chance that blisters will form. Below the waterline is an epoxy barrier making blistering nearly impossible. Reinforcement is added with a molded FRP grid bonded throughout the hull bottom. Foam filled stringers, foam filled beams and extra support every 12 inches strengthen the heavy semi-displacement hull.

The superstructure is made of fiberglass with structural coring as required (Nida coring on the decks). The hull and superstructure are formed in two pieces and are joined with epoxy and bolted through, forming a strong bond that lasts. The factory uses a time consuming, hand-laid method of forming all the fiberglass that results in a strong, quality finished product that lasts.

Salon

From the beginning of the North Pacific 43? project it was emphasized how important it is to have a spacious salon, as so much time is spent there and we worked hard to achieve this. By making the walkway to the bow from the stern above the salon we were able to build the salon walls nearly to the edge of the hull, maximizing the useful living space, while not loosing the ability to get around the boat. The salon is very open with no hanging cabinets dividing the galley, and most importantly, the cook from the rest of the salon. Nine windows give lots of light and allow for a nice panoramic view. The salon is almost 11' long and 11'8" wide with a ceiling height of 6'5" making it equivalent to many 55' yachts.

On the starboard side there is a comfortable 8' long and 36" wide, "L" shaped settee. In seconds this settee is easily converted into a comfortable bed with a width of 47". There is storage space underneath the entire length of the settee, as well as a cabinet at the forward end for extra storage that also makes an ideal place to install an entertainment system. Across from the settee is a comfortable H shaped dinette. Together the dinette and settee provide a large amount of relaxation space in close proximity for entertaining guests, or simply enjoying a movie. The salon is well-lit with ample halogen lighting and reading lights in the corners. The light on the teak gives the salon a very warm, dry and comfortable feeling.

Well-lit Corian (or equivalent) countertops with a raised edges surround the galley, forward of the dinette. There is a large amount of counter space for food preparation. A single stainless steel sink, adequate to fit a large pot, with a single handle American Standard faucet and pullout spout makes clean up easy. A Princess electric stove is standard equipment on the North Pacific 43; however, a gas stove is also available. With 3 burners and an oven, the stove provides a good cooking surface, and there is still sufficient room for many other appliances in the galley. There are four drawers, one large cabinet with two adjustable shelves, another large cabinet under the sink with two fixed shelves and a small cabinet above the stove for storing spices.

Pilothouse

The pilothouse is critically important to comfortable travel in bad conditions and was designed so the North Pacific 43? could be piloted confidently with an unobstructed view. Halogen lights, light up a comfortable captain?s seat in front of a teak steering wheel with hydraulic steering. A bench seat for observers, helps to make long range cruising an enjoyable experience for everyone. Sliding doors on both sides of the pilothouse make access to the bow and fly bridge easy, and at the same time can provide a nice breeze while underway. Morse dual cable engine controls, engine gauges, bow thruster control, windlass control, fuel gauges, water level gauge, horn and electronics of your choice will be set in the black background trimmed with teak; making an impressive control center for the yacht.
Fly Bridge

Access to the upper deck of the North Pacific 43? is via a ladder on the port side of the cockpit, or up the stairs on both sides of the pilothouse. The steps on the outside of the pilothouse to the upper deck mean that you can easily access the bow from the stern without walking through the cabin, unlike many pilothouse models. The upper deck is very spacious, providing a large area to relax with room to spare for a 250 lbs 9-foot dinghy lifted by the yacht's pipe davit or optional low profile davit. There are two large storage lockers with cushions that double as seating and a comfortable reversable double helm seat near the front. Engine controls, gauges, bow thruster control, windlass control, are standard gauges on the fly bridge but you may choose to have the factory install navigational equipment purchased separately. A folding radar arch above the seating area provides a platform to mount all of the various antennas.
Engine Notes

Engine recently received a new water pump.
