29 J Boats 2015 Boat for Sale

Rabian Boat | 29' J Boats 2015

Available now, this 2015 J/88 offers a great muliti-purpose platform for the sailor looking to enter one of the most exciting and active sportboat classes on the Bay. Designed for both competitive one-design racing and fast, family-friendly daysailing, the J/88 delivers thrilling performance without the complexity of a larger crew.

Rabian comes with an unused A2 spinnaker.

Broker's Note:  These boats don't come up for resale frequently on the West Coast.  Whether you are looking to round the buoys or simply want a responsive, high-performance daysailer that easily handles afternoon chop, this J/88 is priced to allow her next owner to upgrade the sail wardrobe and still be well under the cost of a newer hull.

Join a fun fleet that consistently pulls a dedicated one-design start for major local events, such as the 6 boats that just competed in the Rolex Big Boat Series.

The J/88 is a 29’ mid-size family speedster with stability, style and sailing comfort. J/88 hits the sweet-spot in J Boat’s performance range – large enough to provide the creature comforts of a sit-in cockpit, inboard diesel, overnighting interior and head; and small enough to be single-point lifted, owner trailered and stored.  Design highlights include a high-aspect, non-overlapping sail plan (no genoas) with a carbon fiber, double-spreader mast - deck stepped for easy rigging, tuning and keeping the main cabin dry.

Fast and balanced upwind with planing performance downwind in moderate to fresh breezes.
