Vessel in a Tax-Paid LLC.
Speakeasy is a truly exceptional vessel that has been maintained and outfitted to a very high standard by her experienced owners.
Compare the Nordic 54 to other vessels in her class and you will find a lot to like in the design. The hard chine semi-displacement hull is inherently stable. The Cummins will easily drive the boat at economical displacement cruising speeds (2500-mile range) but can deliver 14 knots when needed. Her open interior layout makes life aboard comfortable and provides excellent visibility.
You enter into a great salon with seating on both sides, a TV, bar, and open to the large galley. Up three steps is a very large pilothouse, with a settee large enough for 5. There's doors to each side to get to the foredeck easily, and stairs that lead to the open-plan flybridge.
This particular hull is set up as a 3 cabin, 2 head layout. The primary cabin is forward, with an ensuite head. Then there is a cabin that can be set up as a queen pullman berth or as a couch, finally, a bunk bed cabin. There is a practical utility room that houses separate washers and dryers, and a deep freezer, plus storage.

FULL DESCRIPTION
General Features and Description:
The Nordic Tug 54 has a large cockpit that is well set-up for entertaining, BBQs, but also as a work area for fishing or crabbing. There is an overhanging roof so it could be fully enclosed.
There are nice, wide fiberglass steps to the flybridge (It can also be accessed from the Pilothouse). Access to the foredeck is very easy from the port and starboard side decks, and once forward, you have a high vantage point from which to enjoy the views. There is an inset cushion for sitting.
The flybridge features six solar panels on the pilothouse roof and plenty of open space. Currently, the owners have a large L-shaped outdoor couch, a large dock box, and there is still space to put a tender with the hydraulic lift.
The interior can be entered via a large door in the cockpit, and two sliding doors to either side of the pilothouse. Rich teak joinery accents the interior from stem to stern. The main level is for a large salon with a couch to the left and space on the right for chairs, with cabinetry and a space that's been used for a full car. Then there is a U-shaped galley that's plenty big for several users, with two fridges and a deep freezer in a utility room, a dishwasher, icemaker, convection oven and 4 burner propane stove. Up a few steps is an exceptionally large pilothouse with a "sky lounge" that will seat 4-5 adults, a great Stidd chair for the helm person, and plenty of standing-around room and natural ventilation.
From the Galley you can go down a winding staircase to the landing that leads to the two guest cabins midship (One is a couch convertible to a Queen; the other are bunk beds). Then further forward is guest/day head, cabinetry, and finally the primary cabin forward, which has an island berth, lots of storage, and an ensuite head. Coming back, you can go through the utility room, which features the deep freezer, separate washer and dryers and an electrical panel, and head through a large door for the engine room, which you can fully stand up in. There is also a door from the lazarette into the engine room.
A note about the flooring: The current owners installed new high-end carpet throughout the boat upon purchase in 2010 and in 2020 Amtico vinyl flooring was installed in the galley and pilothouse high-traffic areas. Additionally, sound-deadening carpet padding was used when the carpeting was installed to further reduce engine noise.
Salon:
The salon was upgraded by the current owners with a port-side couch that converts to a queen-size bed. The custom salon folding table is removable to enable an unencumbered living space. The stereo cabinet was modified with decorative glass panel inserts. All upper galley cabinets were also modified with glass panel inserts. A new aft salon Dutch door with snap-in privacy curtain and roller bug screen was added in 2015.
Galley:
The galley has a four-burner gas cooktop and a large microwave/convection oven, plus a Fisher Paykel dishwasher. A custom over-counter cabinet was installed to increase galley storage space. The galley has lots of counter space and is a nautical cook's dream.
Primary Cabin:
The large master suite is located at the bow with a good sized en-suite head compartment with stall shower. There is a drop-down TV in the overhead above the bunk (the current owners have not used the TV and does not guarantee its status). The owners had a new custom mattress made for the queen-sized bed. Closets and cabinets throughout the boat are cedar lined.
En-Suite Head (in Primary Cabin):
Located inside the primary cabin, this cozy but practical head has a separate shower, heating, teak and holly flooring, nice countertops and lighting.
Guest Cabin #1 (Port side):
There is a port side guest cabin with a couch that will sleep one comfortably but the seat back can be dropped into position to convert to a queen-size berth. This cabin also has cabinets, drawers and a hanging locker.
Guest Cabin #2 (Starboard side):
The starboard guest cabin was converted from an office by the current owners into a bunk room with upper/lower single berths. There is generous storage in the lockers, drawers and cabinets.
Guest/Day Head:
The guest head is actually larger than the master head and features good floor space, a vanity and a large stall shower.
Pilothouse:
This large living area provides an excellent vantage point for safe navigating and entertaining. A staircase aft leads to the upper deck and there are opening doors port and starboard. There is a fixed elevated helm chain on the centerline with additional seating to port and starboard for the crew. Full navigation instrumentation is within easy reach of the helm.

Utility Area:
Forward of the engine room door is the utility area, which houses separate washer and dryers, a deep freezer, two large shelves that can fit storage bins, and the secondary electrical panel, watermaker control panel, and, behind it, access to a room with wiring and the back of the starboard stabilizing fin.
Lazarette:
This spacious compartment is accessed through a large cockpit hatch and aft engine room door. This well engineered area holds the house batteries and the inverter, steering gear, stern thruster, and davit pump. There is also a Village Marine water maker (routine service pending). A 15 bottle wine chiller is perfect for cold beverages. The Glendenning shore power cord reel has both a cockpit control as well as a wireless remote for easy cord deployment and recovery. There is a spare 50 amp power cord and secondary 50 amp power jack on the pilot house starboard side for easy bow-in power hookup. Ample room for deck chairs assorted deck gear and maintenance supplies.
Flybridge:
This deck is accessed from the pilothouse rear steps or by a ladder from the cockpit. A tender can be placed there; a 1,000 Lbs hydraulic davit handles launch and recovery with ease. There is an L shaped settee, deck chairs and a shade that can be installed.
Cockpit and Swim Step:
Wide swim step with staples for safe boarding. The generous cockpit is accessed from the swim platform through a centerline transom door. There is a removable stainless ladder for hull side mounting for dock side boarding when needed. These aft controls allow the helmsman to back the boat into a slip for easy access/egress.
Engine Room:
Notable upgrades and servicing:
Speakeasy has been professionally maintained and is in excellent condition mechanically and cosmetically. Recent projects include:
