The iconic charter yacht STARSHIP has returned to the market after a 2 year $3m+ comprehensive refit at Lauderdale Marine Center.
All major mechanical systems have been overhauled, engines rebuilt to zero-time, plate work completed on the hull, swim platform & structural repairs, Quantum Marine zero speed stabilizers serviced, Kamewa waterjets serviced, etc, etc.
She sleeps 12 guests in 5 cabins including a spacious master & a massive selection of toys including 5 jet skis and Novurania on deck.
Previous notable upgrades include:
- 2022-2025 $3m+ mechanical refit of all major systems onboard, plate work on the hull and swim platform and superstructure, engines zeroed out with full re-buids, etc
- 2020 her sky lounge was remodeled, and new chiller plants installed (2) 10-ton units
- 2015 $2m refit that included a full exterior paint job & new soft goods in the main salon
- 2006 Quantum Marine zero speed stabilizers were installed
- 2003-2004 $8m refit where a complete interior overhaul was completed with new furnishings, sundeck extension & installation of new Caterpillar 3512B engines
STARSHIP is now ready to embark on her next journey of excellence whether privately owned or entered back onto the charter market.
STARSHIP has multiple key features that make her especially appealing on the charter market such as her shallow 7' Bahamas draft thanks to her waterjet propulsion which also allows for a very smooth ride. She has a trans-Altantic range at economical speeds having completed multiple crossings over her years (5) plus a top speed of 17 knots great for blasting around the Bahamas or Caribbean, and an enviable set of toys onboard. STARSHIP can and does carry 5 jet skis along with a Novurania RIB, and she was previously rated for helicopter operations which could be reinstated by the next owner.
STARSHIP sleeps up to 12 guests in 5 cabins on the lower deck with a massive master ensuite, 2 VIP cabins, and 2 additional twin cabins with pulman berths. Crew accommodations for up to 8 in 4 cabins.
STARSHIP represents an excellent opportunity as the owner is serious about selling so please call to discuss price. She represents an opportunity to immediately enter a known charter vessel that has profited in the past so an owner could cover the majority of annual operating costs with the possibility of being in the green if managed properly.
Please inquire for more details on price, refit details, and charter history.
WALK THROUGH:
STARSHIP enters the market having just completed a comprehensive 2+ year refit with over $3MM USD invested into the vessel. She is currently cruising the Bahamas with owners onboard through beginning of October where upon she will return to Florida to finish off a few remaining projects.
STARSHIP is US Duty Paid and has an enviable charter history so an excellent opportunity for an owner to purchase her by years end & immediately enter her into the busy winter charter season.
Stepping onboard STARSHIP from the transom you first notice the passerelle that seamlessly fold onto the swim platform when not in use, and easily deploys to allow easy access for guests when docked stern to. The swim platform is better referred to as a cockpit as it has built in L-shaped seating to port & starboard with a center line staircase that leads up to the aft deck. The aft deck is split into two equal sitting areas - one located to port & the other to starboard both of which include built in bench seating that overlooks the swim platform below. Varnished tables & chairs finish off the space along with a TV.
Full walk arounds to both port & starboard lead to the bow. A centerline sliding door opens up to the main salon while a set of stairs offset to starboard lead up to the boat deck.
(We will complete the exterior walk through before starting with the interior)
Heading up to the bow you reach one of the many areas guests can lounge onboard. There are large sunpads, forward facing bench seating and a super cool triangle shaped sitting area all the way at the bow, a great place for kids (or adults) to lean over and watch the water go by the hull or feel the breeze in your hair.
Taking the stairs from the aft deck up to the boat deck you arrive at what I would consider your most popular exterior dining area where there is a massive centerline square table, full service bar located forward to starboard and just aft of that there is an area that is typically arranged with exterior deck furniture.
STARSHIP is known for being able to carry a large number of toys (5 jet skis in total) and one of the areas is here on the second deck/boat deck where they typically have 2 jet skis stored. With the jet skis in the water this non-skid deck is where the crew arrange the slide and any work out equipment you want to carry onboard.
Stairs located opposite of the bar to the port side lead up to the final upper deck where the remaining 3 jet skis and substantial Novurania tender are stored.
Just forward of the toy storage you have two huge U-shaped settees that can easily seat 15+ guests facing one another. Heading forward towards the boat to starboard you have a large sunpad, opposite of that is a wet bar complete with sink, refrigerator and ice-maker. We have now reached STARSHIP'S easily recognizable mast which serves as a focal point of the design of the vessel and doubles as a hard top for the centerline jacuzzi with full walk around & forward facing bench seating. The jacuzzi anchors the entire deck which tends to be a favorite place for guest to gather & hang out.
Now lets head back down to the main deck and step inside.
Entering the main salon you have a nice welcome area with matching benches opposite one another and then to starboard you have an absolutely stunning back-lit Onyx bar which is one of the focal points of the entire interior of the vessel. 4 bars stools complete the space. Opposite of the bar you have a round card table with chairs & then you reach the lounge area complete with forward facing couch & 4 captains chairs.
Large windows to port & starboard allow for a massive amount of natural light to pour into this inviting space. The custom satin finished wood work features multiple grains of wood both on the wall panels & overhead ceiling complete with gold leaf. New carpeting can be found throughout the entire interior including the guest accommodations below.
Moving forward to starboard you reach the main guest foyer with beautiful yellow marble flooring with inlayed compass rose, the central staircase that leads up to the sky lounge & down to the guest cabins. Important to mention how spacious this area is - very inviting for when guests first arrive onboard and really shows off the volume of the interior.
There is a door to port that leads into the commercial grade galley that can easily produce enough food for 12 guests & 8 crew 3 meals a day or large parties onboard. Additional deep freezers & refrigeration allows the chef to provision for the season or long passages (STARSHIP has completed numerous trans-Atlantic crossings).
Just forward of the galley stairs lead down to the crew area which includes a large mess area with small galley, laundry facilities and 3 crew cabins each of which sleep 2 crew & all en-suites.
Back on the main deck and stepping forward past the day head you reach the formal dining area with 270 degrees of windows surrounding the room. This is truly a space where memories are made whether experiencing formal or casual meals with family and friends. The close proximity to the galley allows for easy service by the chef & crew. What I love is that guests can relax back aft in the main salon around the bar and sitting areas and when dinner is ready they can proceed forward to the beautiful setting which is truly unique to STARSHIP.
The central staircase leads down to the guest accommodations where we find 5 cabins all of which are en-suites sleeping up to 12 guests. Arriving at the lower guest foyer you can step forward to starboard where you enter the full beam master suite which has an off-set king berth to port, full sitting area to starboard with love seat & two complimenting chairs and large bathroom complete with his & her sinks, toilet and massive space. The entire bath is highlighted by beautiful custom marble and stone with gold fixtures. The entire master suite is a truly impressive space. All the guest cabins feature that same satin finished wood paneling you find in the upper decks.
Just aft of the master to port & starboard you have the two smaller cabins. To starboard you have a twin cabin with two single berths, and to port the cabin has a full size berth, long bench seating that converts into a single bunk and a pullman above that. A very versatile cabin that can appeal to a number of different guest parties onboard.
All the way back aft you have your two matching VIP cabins complete with king size forward facing beds and en-suites in that same gorgeous stone you find in the master and two smaller cabins.
We will now head up to the final interior spaces found on the upper deck via the central staircase which has that soft new carpeting you find in the main salon. Arriving in the upper deck you have a day head to starboard and back aft you have yet another space to relax and enjoy. To port there is a U-shaped settee & two comfortable chairs with fabrics in neutral and blue colors that are super inviting. To starboard you have a built in desk space.
Walking forward past the day head you find the captain's cabin located to port with en-suite and then you enter the wheelhouse. Back aft you have a raised forward facing settee that can comfortably seat two allowing for great visibility out of the 270 degree windows. Centerline captain's chair overlooks the helm while water tight doors to both port & starboard lead outside to the Portuguese bridge.
BROKER COMMENTS:
As I have mentioned before STARSHIP has just completed a comprehensive multi-million dollar refit primarily focusing on the mechanics and structural integrity of the vessel. Yes, STARSHIP also benefitted from new carpeting throughout and other subtle interior decor upgrades but the focus was on assuring she is ready to continue strong well into the future.
Her engines were rebuilt to zero-time with complete overhaul with all pistons & liners changes, service of all turbos at an expense of $500,000. Her Quantum Zero speed stabilizers were serviced, deck plating was replaced on the swim platform, the hatch framing and transom plating back aft. Forepeak plating was also repaired in the compartment off the centerline below the chain locker. The entire hull was inspected and audio gauged to assure all in top condition. Bow thruster serviced, capstans, piping throughout, fire systems, Kamewa drives serviced, etc, etc
We have included a detailed list of items in the technical details that will give you a much better idea of the extent of the works completed. The entire yacht was inspected bow to stern to assure nothing was overlooked.
Prior to entering her shipyard period in late 2022 STARSHIP had completed 9 charters that year and had additional charters on the books before the decision was made to invest into the yacht. She is now ready to go back into full service and is currently cruising with the owners family & friends onboard. This is an excellent opportunity to own an icon & continue her tradition as one of the top charter yachts on the market.
STARSHIP is being sold with a full selection of toys including but not limited to:
A 39ft Intrepid center console can be purchased for an additional cost or be included in the sale depending on the offer.
