Trompe Le Monde Boat | 37' Farr 2009

Designed by Bruce Farr and built to compete at the highest level, the Farr 11s is a no-nonsense offshore and inshore racer with an innovative hydraulic canting keel, twin inboard rudders, and twin daggerboards. This particular example comes with a documented winning pedigree, having recently won her class at the 2024 Chicago-Mackinac, and placing third in her class at the 2025 Port Huron-Mackinac—proof that the platform works when sailed well.

The Farr 11s is known for its stiff hull, powerful sail plan, and balanced helm, making it fast upwind, rewarding downwind, and forgiving enough to be pushed hard by an experienced crew. Construction is carbon fiber with a honeycomb/foam core and a white AwlGrip finish. The bottom is coated in burnished and race-ready VC Offshore. The carbon rig has been upgraded with additional locking halyards, stowable lazy jacks, and set further back in the boat for better upwind performance.

This boat has been maintained with racing in mind. Systems are simple, accessible, and functional, prioritizing performance and reliability over unnecessary complexity. The deck layout is optimized for efficient crew work, while the interior remains practical for distance racing, deliveries, or weekend regattas—exactly as Farr intended.

If you're looking for a proven racing sailboat, this Farr 11s represents serious value: a respected design, a documented track record, and a platform capable of winning races today with the right program. A double-axle Triad trailer is included with the boat.
