Volunteer Boat | 47' Custom 1996

Brokers remarks:

PRELIMINARY SPECS

“Volunteer” is a custom built yacht by Bruckmann Yachts in Canada. She is a one off design by a well known Naval Architect, Mark Ellis.

Built to the highest yacht standards in construction; fit & finish, equipment, wiring, plumbing, rig etc.

This is a special YACHT in the highest tradition of that word and spectacular in every way! Not enough can be said about the incredible fit, finish and Bristol condition of this exceptional yacht without going aboard to seeing for yourself!

While she is designed as a traditional looking yacht her rig and underbody are designed for ease of sailing; including singlehanded operation if desired. With a fin keel and elliptical carbon fiber rudder. She is quite fast and stiff with a 50% ballast (Lead) to displacement ratio.

Some, but not limited to, of her exceptional features are: Carbon fiber mast and jib boom, Harken 50’s electric self-tailing winches (2 in cockpit) Harken 46 two speed winches as well, hydraulic roller furling headsail, rod rigging, bow and stern thrusters, Sail drive (3 bladed bronze folding prop), Roller furling main boom, Destroyer teak and stainless wheel, helm pedestal plus much more.

With a price of only $340,000 which is a fraction of the $1.6 to $1.7 million to build her today and considering only 6 years ago she underwent a $400,000 refit, “Volunteer” is an incredible value to the family that wishes to purchase a yacht that no one else has, in Bristol condition and ready to take them on their next sailing adventures.
