Shore Boat Works have built hundreds of commercial grade vessels since the 1960s including tugboats, research vessels, yachts, and passenger carrying boats, but are most prolific in fish boats. Western Shore, ex Canadian Shore, started out as a salmon seiner and then was converted to an expedition yacht at ABD Shipyard in North Vancouver in 2002 by the previous owner.
Incredible fishing capability combined with upgraded cruising comforts make Western Shore a standout in her class. She sleeps up to twelve including a master stateroom. The galley is large and well laid out with a large stainless fridge, freezer and restaurant grade stove, oven, and grill. The adjacent dinette seats up to eight. The fish holds were converted to a sauna, shower, large side by side fridge and freezer, crew quarters and washer/dryer to maximize your comfort aboard. The dayroom is large and bright with lots of cozy seating- a great space to socialize and entertain. The wheelhouse is large with expansive visibility and cameras to look aft. There is also an upper bridge deck helm. The aft deck has a large, covered area used for entertaining, BBQs and other outdoor activities. Boats are stored on the topside. The stern has a modified lift for launching kayaks, paddle boards, scuba diving, and grants access to the water for land fish. The aft freezer is divided into two sides with 8,000 lbs capacity each side. There are 6 trolling gurdies for fishing and a commercial T Lic available, price upon request.
This is a very heavily built commercial grade boat capable of extended voyages with a 4,000 nautical mile range and complete with paravane stabilizers and ballast tanks. Freeze your catch at sea with the commercial grade dual icemakers and huge freezer capacity. The electronic array is complete including two Furuno radar units, two VHF radios, SSB, Comnav auto pilot, various sounders, jog steering, rudder indicator and more. The hydraulic bow and a stern thrusters allow ease of handling and docking in any situation. The hull is 1/2", topsides are 3/8" and the deck is 1/4". There are also 5 watertight bulkheads. The conveniently located Hiab davit isn't just for loading gear, it can be used for lifting toys and yacht tenders.
The main engine is a 1993 3412 Cat rebuilt in 2009, with an Isuzu 6RB1 back up motor with 1001 hrs since rebuild in 2009. There are three Isuzu gensets. The current survey puts replacement value at $12,950,000. Valuable current moorage is available in Steveston- drive your truck right up to the boat. This strategic moorage is located at the mouth of the river in brackish water with ample parking, trades and is a tourist destination. Coast Guard CSI certificate good until 2026.
