Nereus Dastur – C.E.O. Denison California

An avid sailor who started sailing at age 4 with Dad, by 7 Nereus was sailing independently on his 13′ sailing dingy. He grew up racing dinghies and small keelboats. These early years included frequent wins and a successful Olympic trials bid 1972. Over the past 35 years Nereus has extensively cruised the Pacific, Atlantic, and Indian Oceans, along with Mediterranean, Arabian, and North Seas on both power and sailing vessels.

Nereus attended the Hotel Management School at École hôtelière de Lausanne in Switzerland and also studied advertising, marketing and graphic arts at UCLA. He began a very successful career in the hotel /restaurant business in Europe and then moved to North America where he expanded his portfolio to include managing properties in Mexico and the US. Nereus has since owned and operated both foodservice and advertising business in California. Before starting his career in the marine business Nereus spent eight years operating an Advertising and Graphics Studio with offices in Hollywood and Torrance, California. Clients included all the major Hollywood Movie Studios, and several top flight Advertising Agencies, including Saatchi and Saatchi, where he was central to the national advertising efforts for Toyota.

Nereus began his career in the marine business when he joined H&S Yacht Sales in 2002. Regularly recognized as a top contributor, he won awards and accolades for exceptional sales performance and customer satisfaction. Nereus was the top Salesperson in Marina del Rey for Jeanneau over the last four years.
