A Midwest native, Juan owned several successful businesses before being persuaded in 1997 to join a friend selling boats in Minnesota. He quickly developed a passion for boating and the yachting industry as a whole.
Subsequent opportunities afforded him valuable experience selling both new and brokerage yachts, working with new boat builders for improved manufacturing practices, delivering boats throughout the United States, and teaching new owner’s boat and yacht operation and maintenance. Juan’s previous business expertise frequently comes in handy for trouble-shooting mechanical or electronic issues.
In 2008 Juan and his wife, Liz, a marine journalist, relocated to South Florida in pursuit of warmer temps and sunnier skies.
Juan holds distinction as a Certified Professional Yacht Broker (CPYB), Master 100 Ton Captains License and is an active member of the Florida Yacht Brokers Association (FYBA).
