Jim Mathews was born and raised in Boston Massachusetts.  He is a graduate of the Salem State College School of Business where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing. After graduation Jim worked in business equipment sales, and in 2001 he took his first job in the marine industry as a boat salesman on Lake Winnipesaukee in New Hampshire.  In six short months he was able to sell 50 boats and knew he found his calling. In 2004 Jim fulfilled a life-long dream of living in Florida and moved to the yacht capital of the world, Ft. Lauderdale. It did not take him long to graduate from selling small lake boats to yachts, as he recorded his first sale within a week of his move to Florida - a 1996 70’ Maiora for $750,000. Jim has not looked back and continues to consistently bring buyers and sellers together.
