Hargrave 101 Yacht Tour Walkthrough Video

November 14, 2017 3:17 pm

CAMERON ALEXANDER is the largest volume 100 ft. yacht on the market featuring 7’ headroom throughout the interior & 8’ headroom on the aft deck and sundeck. She has 2 master cabins including an on-deck master suite, which is rare for a yacht this size, plus a second full-beam master cabin located down in the guest accommodations.

CAMERON ALEXANDER’s sundeck has enough space to carry a 15 ft. tender and two three-person jet skis and features a Jacuzzi, Australia BBQ, full bar, lounge seating and retractable sunroof. Only 1,250 original hours on Caterpillar C-32 engines give her a top speed of 20+ knots and a cruise speed of 15. Join us as we take a walkthrough of this spacious Hargrave superyacht.

Hi, I’m Alex Clark with Denison Yachting and today I’m going to take you onboard Cameron Alexander, a 2010 101 foot Hargrave.

Cameron Alexander is probably the largest volume 100-footer that I’ve ever been on. Today we’re going to board Cameron Alexander through a passerelle located on the port quarter. The aft deck of the yacht is great. It’s got seating for 12 guests, 8-foot headroom, large flat-screen TV and then a full minibar area. Both the port and starboard you have teak steps that carry you down to the large swim platform, ease of access to the water and it also is going to give you access to the engine room and lazarette.

The full-beam main salon has three specific areas. You’ve got the lounge area with L-shaped settee, you’ve got the bar area over here with marble countertops, large flat screen TV, and forward you’re going to have the formal dining area. The interior decor has a high-gloss finish, which you’re going to notice here in the main salon. And you’re also going to see huge windows found throughout the boat.

Continuing forward from the main salon, you enter the starboard companionway that first gives you access to the galley, which I’m going to get to you later. So let’s continue forward. Here we are forward on the main deck, where you have access to the wheelhouse, day head and then my favorite – the on-deck master, which is extremely rare for a 100-footer.

So this is great. Here we are in an on-deck master in a 100-footer. You’ve got a king-sized bed, flat-screen TV, really great headroom, which again is rare for on a 100-footer, and then huge windows both down the port and starboard side.

When you first enter the on-deck master you’re going to have your ensuite head to port. The on-deck master bath has his and hers sinks, large marble shower with marble floors and countertops throughout.

We’ve now finished for the on-deck master. Why don’t we step downstairs and go see the guest accommodations. From the stairs leading down into the guest accommodations, we’ve gone all the way back aft where you’re going to have your full-beam second master cabin.

So here in what I consider the second master or the VIP, you’re going to have 21-foot wide beam, king-size berth, cedar-lined his and hers closets both to port and starboard and then back here you’re going to have your large his and hers bathroom, separated by a rain shower.

As an owner what I love about having a layout that has two masters is that you have the option of having an on-deck master or you can actually come down below and have a larger volume cabin. Now as a charter boat this gives you great flexibility in how you want to present it to your guests. So if you have two primaries chartering it with their families, they’re not going to be fighting over who gets the master. You actually have the flexibility of again an on-deck master, great view, large volume down below.

Just forward of the second master down below you’re going to have two identical cabins to port and starboard – both with two single berths, but what is unique about this is that they actually combine into queen berths both on the port and starboard side. Again, great flexibility – so if you have a party on board with kids, you can use them a single berth or if you have four different couples, you can also have it perfect for them.

And the starboard cabin here actually has a Pullman berth as well. What’s important to note here is that each cabin has a generous head and additional storage going back with that massive volume you’re going to find throughout the boat.

Down in the guest accommodations, you have a foyer where you have a refrigerator, a little area where you can set up a breakfast nook, and behind these glass panels, you’re going to have a hidden laundry room with three full-sized washer and dryers, area for folding laundry and additional storage. Also hidden is access into the crew accommodations.

As I mentioned before Cameron Alexander is one of the largest hundred-footers I’ve ever been on. For example, here we are in the crew accommodations. You have the lounge area here, full ensuite captain’s cabin with queen-size berth and then forward you’re going to have two identical bunk cabins, both also with ensuite.

Going back to the direct access to the guest accommodations, what’s great about that is whether it’s the owner onboard or charter guests, the stewardesses can go back and forth without ever being seen by guests onboard. Equally great is that you have direct access to the galley here and to the exterior of the boat. Let’s go take a look.

Here we are in the galley. What I love about it is the layout. Not only do you have the large windows but you have separation from where the chef’s going to be and the stewardesses. You have two sinks, GE Profile appliances throughout and also this massive Sub-zero refrigerator and freezers.

Exiting the galley into the starboard companionway you move forward. It gives you direct access to the bridge and the wheelhouse. Here we are in the wheelhouse. As you can see we’ve got great visibility, we’ve got a little lounge area over here, which doubles as a captain’s office, and then you have direct access up to the massive sundeck.

To me, one of the key features onboard here is the sundeck. Being on the water is all about being outside, enjoying the weather, the sunshine and the view. One of the two access points to the sundeck is going to be from the aft deck. Entering the sundeck, you’re going to notice the davit – this allows you to carry up to maybe at 15-16 foot tender, two jet skis, additional watersport toys.

Moving forward you have a legitimate grill, then you have a Jacuzzi that also has a cover that goes on top of it, so it converts into additional sunspace. To the port side here you have a great lounge area with L-shaped seating and two cocktail tables. Opposite of that you have a nice full bar, and forward of that to port you’re going to have the full helm.

Here we are in the engine room. Immediately you notice that we’ve got twin CAT C32s, 1,675 horsepower each, gives her a top speed of around 20 knots, cruising speed of about 15 and extremely low hours at just under 1,300.
