Anthony’s love for boating took shape when he was fairly young as he learned to sail in Salt Lake City. Yes, his uncle had a sailboat on the famed land-locked ocean, the Great Salk Lake. His love for boating only intensified when a job transfer brought him to Southern California. He was soon chartering sailboats, and looking for ways to do more on the water.

Anthony spent most of his professional career in High Tech as an ATS Fibre Channel Engineer, and instructor to Field Engineers. With critical systems clients such as Time Inc., Reuters of London, Credit Suisse, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, U.S. Navy SPARWAR, Technicolor, NBC/Universal, FOX, among others, there wasn’t a lot of time for hobbies.

Scuba diving and charters became a way to get outdoors. It wasn’t long before he bought his first sailboat. Anthony then continued with his education by first taking marine science, marine weather, and sailing classes for fun, and as a diversion, also enrolling for the 17-week USCG Captains License course.

Then years later, returning with the sea time he had accumulated, Anthony received his U.S. Coast Guard Captains License. As a natural instructor, he ultimately taught students “vessel command and operations” courses aboard ocean going sailboats.

Anthony’s passion for sailing also led him to be an instructor with JSORP, a youth sailing foundation at Shoreline Yacht Club for underprivileged youth. The program became a catalyst for Anthony’s philanthropic heart. Today, he is one of the largest donors to an L.A. intercity outreach program for young girls at risk.

Anthony has now owned several sailboats and currently owns a 55’ motoryacht. He has been on countless vessels racing, teaching, delivering, or just plain having fun in the US and Europe, and is a current member of the Los Angeles Yacht Club.

With the tech world behind him, the next step was yacht sales. He has helped many clients find that perfect boat for them. And now the transition from a smaller, local brokerage to Denison will allow him to have a local touch, with a truly global reach. Anthony’s greatest joy is to help someone break free from the grind and buy a boat; not just to own it, but to actually learn how to use and enjoy it.

Whether you are ready to buy your first boat, or to sell your current one to make room for your next yacht, give Anthony a call, and talk boating.
