Nicolas Fry

As a sailor, Nicolas was always attracted to beautiful boats. In 2005, his father bought a sailing yacht and asked him to market her for charter. This was his first step into yachting. He spent several years gaining experience in the industry, working as a charter broker, yacht manager, crew manager, and charter manager. After getting his Captain’s license, he joined a sailing yacht as steward/deckhand for the charter season in the Med and an Atlantic crossing.

Nico then began his charter management career with Camper and Nicholsons, where he was responsible for building the charter reputation of iconic yachts like CHRISTINA O, LEGEND, ECLIPSE, and SULTANA. In 2018, Nico joined Northrop & Johnson, where he successfully grew their charter fleet in Europe, launching their flagship 72m Tankoa yacht, SOLO, and managing a large fleet with his own team.

Admiration and respect for the ocean have been a part of Nico’s life since he learned to sail as a child. He has taken part three times in the London to Monaco cycle ride, organized by the Blue Marine Foundation, raising more than €1,000,000 for ocean conservation.

As the Charter Management Director in Europe, Nico oversees the development of the charter fleet and growing charter management operations in the Med. His expertise in building the charter reputation of yachts under his management, through a combination of diverse marketing strategies, personal relationships, and the organization of multiple events, has made him one of the leading charter experts in yachting.
