We have known Steve Messenger for over 5 years. As with most boaters, we all start with a smaller boat and over the years graduate to the larger, dream boat. And that leads me to our very pleasurable experience with Steve. We had often expressed our desire to trade up to a larger boat to accommodate our cruising to distant ports with our family. Steve was a sales person at our marina and was aware of our desires. Just prior to super storm Sandy, Steve called us and told us that he might have found the boat for us. He was correct! it was the boat that we dreamed of. 52 feet of bliss. We were sold. But as we all know buying a boat is the easy part. It is the follow up after the sale. The punch list, the preparation, the follow up... these are the ingredients that separate the ultimate sales person from the common, every day variety.

Steve's follow up far exceeded our expectations. He assisted us in the punch list, made sure the boat was ready for delivery, inspected the boat fully prior to the final transfer of ownership to us. AND for the next few months Steve contacted us at least once a month to make sure that the boat was operating to our expectations and that we were truly enjoying our new boating experience. He truly made this purchase a pleasurable experience before and after the sale.

I wanted to thank you for the great job you did in selling our 57' Carver, Private Reserve. The whole process was extremely easy and I think you did a good job of understanding that we were not convinced we were ready to sell. You worked around our Bahamas trip, did your walk throughs, worked with our captain and scheduled buyer visits in a very accommodating way. We were stunned when we received a very credible offer in a matter of weeks. We were leaving for our summer place on Cape Cod a day and a half after the offer and we scrambled to unload the boat in case the deal would close in our absence.

You and your staff did a great job of getting the agreements finalized electronically. While we are experiencing the normal angst over selling a boat we loved, we are excited about the probability of searching for the replacement.
