Jeff,
You certainly know the market, and I was impressed by the prospective buyers you sent my way. Your listing of my boat was well done, and you were spot on in the suggested asking price.
The most remarkable part of this sale is the fact that 'Second Wind's' homeport is on Lake Ontario (I am a resident of New York State, you (my yacht broker) are located in Florida, and the buyer lives in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
As this was happening, I thought this sale was going to be a complicated process. But you handled it very well, and the closing was completed with absolutely no problems.
Thanks for your excellent service.
I have worked with salesmen for years as a result of being in heavy equipment for 40 years, and have always developed an appreciation for those salesmen that like what they do and the people that they do it with. Jeff Sorgen is one of those rare individuals who likes what he does for a living and it shows in everything that he does. Ours certainly was one of the smallest deals that Jeff will do this year; the acquisition of a $140,000 sailboat where another agent was acting for the vendor.
It was not a big deal in the boat business, but we as first time buyers, received tremendous assistance from Jeff. Jeff helped us with finding a dock, in securing a qualified surveyor, in getting insurance quotes, in providing a list of basics that we would need on the boat before we took it out, etc. The list goes on and on even to the point of acting as our captain for part of the day so that my kids and grandchildren could have a boat ride before I felt qualified to take them myself.

I guess what we're saying is that Jeff has demonstrated a kindness to us as customers that will ensure our continued support of him as our sales representative in whatever we may do with our sailboat over the coming years. He is a fabulous representative of your sales organization and ensures your continued growth and success in coming years; I would have loved to have had a few of him in our other businesses.
To Denison Yacht Sales and anyone in the market to buy or sell a yacht:
Jeff Sorgen and Denison Yacht Sales got it done. After cruising aboard our 46’ Hunter sailboat for many years, it was time to return to land and we needed to sell our boat. Our situation required us to leave the boat in Florida and for us to be on the other side of the country.
Right from the beginning, and through to the very end, Jeff Sorgen and Denison Yacht Sales helped. Jeff did a great job helping us identify what we needed to do to get the boat ready to sell. He also referred us to a dock and a maintenance team to ensure the boat would be safe and maintained in our absence.
Jeff prepared a great presentation of the boat for its listing on Denison’s website. He then stayed on top of the activity and the market.
When an offer came, Jeff negotiated a price acceptable to us. Then he stuck with the deal until the last dollar had cleared the banks.
When I’m back in the market, I will be calling on Jeff and Denison Yacht Sales again. I recommend that everyone in the market call them too!
This letter serves to record our appreciation and respect for the services provided by Mr. Jeff Sorgen, of Denison Yacht Sales, Dania Beach in Florida, in the search for and acquisition of our yacht “Windward”.
We started our search in early 2015 from our home in Cornwall in the United Kingdom, looking for a blue water capable cruiser in either the Caribbean or the East coast of the USA. After a frustrating period of owner and broker interactions, we made contact with Jeff, whose excellent service and attention to our requirements resulted in the successful acquisition of “Windward".
The features of Jeff’s service that we so much appreciated included:
We highly recommend Jeff’s services to both Buyers and Sellers of yachts.
