
Captain Carlos was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil where he developed his love for being on boats as he sailed the coast on his family’s boat while growing up. He also spent some time in France as a child where he studied but eventually moved back to Brazil to go to a university in Rio de Janeiro focused on technology, geographic information systems, and remote sensing. Captain Carlos has sailed all his life, attending sailing school as a child and participating as a professional sailing athlete later on. Carlos has sailed from the French Atlantic coast, through the Atlantic by Spain and the Mediterranean seas. He has also crossed the Atlantic, from Europe to the Caribbean (3 winter seasons in a row) and the United States East coast to Massachusetts. Captain Carlos is an avid diver, loves all types of water-related activities, and discovering new places while traveling.

Cynthia Pariente Bass is a dedicated culinary professional with over 12 years of experience in the restaurant industry, covering both front and back-of-house operations, food and beverage management, administration, and sales. Known for her ability to thrive in multicultural environments, Cynthia excels at improving operational efficiency and implementing innovative, customer-centric strategies that enhance client relationships and maximize business potential. Currently, Cynthia serves as an Executive Chef, where she is responsible for menu design, inventory management, cost control, and overall operations. She has developed collaborative tools to streamline service processes, fostered team innovation to meet budget goals, and managed administrative tasks, including accounting and social media. As a Sole Chef since April 2023, Cynthia has also showcased her versatility by designing and executing menus on a yacht, handling budget control and provisioning, and creating thematic dinners featuring diverse cuisines. Her previous roles include positions at various esteemed establishments such as La Gastro Salvaje, Salterius Restaurant, Dominio de Antargu, El Faro del Puerto, and La Gaviota. As a co-owner and executive chef at La Gastro Salvaje, she was instrumental in standardizing operations, managing resources, and driving new business opportunities. Her key skills encompass leadership, effective communication, problem-solving, strategic thinking, and adaptability.

With 8 years of experience in the service industry, Tifani is dedicated to making yachting a full-time career. She holds key certifications, including STCW Basic Safety Training, ENG1, Seaman’s Book, and AEC1. Tifani has worked as a Sole Stewardess/Deckhand on various yachts, such as Blue M Charter and Paródia II Charter Motor Yacht, gaining expertise in boat maintenance, fender and docking operations, interior cleaning, cooking, and bartending. Previously, she managed and bartended at several busy establishments in Budapest and Tenerife, honing skills in customer service, team management, and mixology. Passionate about travel and an active lifestyle, Tifani aims to leverage her extensive hospitality background to become a valued crew member in the yachting industry.

Enrique hails from Spain and has been working in the yachting industry for 2 years now. He’s been fortunate enough to learn a plethora of skills while aboard S/Y NEFESH and is happy to transfer everything he’s learned to the RIO program. Enrique has been involved with life at sea from a young age, always sailing and fishing, as well as competing in local and international races. Enrique is also a PADI open-water diver, and enjoys hiking, water sports, and traveling.
Rio Yacht Charter is a 89' superyacht built by Horizon in 2022. She sleeps 12 and holds 4 crew and is located in Caribbean, West Coast South America and Caribbean, West Coast South America.
