35' C&C 1974

C&C Yachts, founded in 1969 in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario, is one of the most respected names in the history of North American sailboat building. The company earned its reputation on cored-fibreglass construction, stiff and light hulls, and clean, purposeful interiors. Through the 1970s and 80s, C&C designs racked up wins in events like the SORC and the Canada's Cup and built a loyal, passionate ownership community that endures to this day. The C&C 35 is one of the boats that established that legend, and it remains a benchmark for the fast, well-mannered dual-purpose racer/cruiser. The C&C 35 is a masthead sloop with a fixed fin keel and an internally-mounted spade rudder, a configuration that gives her light, responsive helm and genuine performance in a breeze while staying sea-kindly and forgiving. She displaces roughly 10,500 lbs with 5,000 lbs of lead ballast, and is powered by a Universal Atomic 4 inboard driving a conventional shaft. Belowdecks she carries a warm, classic teak-and-mahogany interior that sleeps six across a forward V-berth, main-saloon settee berths, and a quarter berth, with an enclosed head and hanging locker, a U-shaped galley, and a dedicated chart/nav area. She is a proven, well-loved design that rewards a hands-on owner. MASTHEAD SLOOP – RECENTLY OVERHAULED INBOARD ENGINE (ONLY ~5 HRS SINCE) – WHEEL / PEDESTAL STEERING – WARM TEAK & MAHOGANY INTERIOR – SLEEPS 6 – ENCLOSED HEAD W/ HANGING LOCKER – U-SHAPED GALLEY – FIN KEEL PERFORMANCE CRUISER/RACER – SHOAL 5'3" DRAFT – CRADLE INCLUDED – PROVEN RACER/CRUISER – EXCELLENT ENTRY INTO C&C OWNERSHIP – AFFORDABLY PRICED +++ The standout story on this boat is under the sole: the engine received a complete overhaul just last year and has only about 5 hours of run time since, so a new owner steps aboard with an essentially fresh worry-free motoring ahead. She also comes with her cradle included, a real, tangible cost saving that makes hauling and winter storage simple from day one. She is offered without a recent survey, so buyers are welcome and encouraged to arrange their own inspection or survey. At this price, she represents one of the most accessible ways into the storied C&C family, an ideal project-and-sail classic for someone who wants a fast, seaworthy, freshwater C&C at an entry-level number.
