In the Ocean Alexander 40 Europa, owners get a full length salon on the same level as the cockpit. This is a layout that provides more entertaining potential than a traditional double cabin trawler with a raised aft deck. Built on a solid fiberglass hull with moderate 13'4" beam and a shallow keel for stability and prop protection, her two stateroom floor plan is arranged with the galley forward in the salon, opposite the lower helm station. The interior is completely finished out with teak woodwork and trim and the deck access door at the lower helm provides easy access to the foredeck. Additional features include extended flybridge, transom door and swim platform. Twin Ford Lehman 135hp diesel engines cruise the Ocean Alexander 40 Europa Sedan at 8-10 knots.

Traditionally, teak decks were offered on these vessels. This version foregoes the maintenance heavy teak; this beauty has fiberglass decks (original from the factory, not a refit), a plus for ease of upkeep, but also eliminating the possibility of deck issues resulting from the use of mechanical fasteners.
