1985 Kadey-Krogen 42 Pilothouse Trawler

The full-displacement hull is what made the Krogen 42 a blue-water standard for nearly two decades of production. The rounded chine below the waterline combined with flatter topsides sections delivers exceptional roll resistance and initial stability without excessive ballast. At 17.6 tons displacement, she reaches hull speed on just 60 horsepower, with a range of approximately 2,150 nautical miles at 8 knots. Back her down to 6 knots and range extends to 5,000 miles.

The long protective keel keeps the running gear safe in the shallows and gives her the kind of directional stability that makes overnight passages manageable for a short-handed crew.

Recent upgrades include a newer inverter for improved onboard power management.
