This 14.5m balsa core game boat is geared towards going out wide and finding blue water. Built and kept in NZ survey regulations from 1994 until 2015, she is strong and capable. Over many of these years, it was kept in survey but used privately, and the level of care is reflected in her condition. A core sample is available upon viewing to showcase the hull thickness.
Space would be the first feature that comes to mind when describing Oversea’er, with a 1.9m headroom in the cockpit, 9 berths, and 3 large freezer spaces. No longer do you need to return to shore after landing a keeper. The large freezer can crash cool and store a processed marlin at sea; it's been tested. To me, this feature alone is one that can really make a trip.
Powered by twin Cummins 330hp and a bow thruster, maneuvering is easy, getting along at 14-16kts cruise speed. Game rigged and equipped with a live bait tank, tuna tube connection, game chair, 2 wet lockers for dive gear, and ample freezer space, if a 3 Kings mission was on your bucket list then look no further.
Power management is also a big positive with a large 900ah house bank replaced in 2020 being powered by a 280W solar on the flybridge roof. Features such as a diesel heater, hydraulic anchor power take-off, internal repaint, replaced water/fuel tanks, replaced batteries, and regular 100hr engine servicing are just a few of the things that have kept this boat in great condition.
