Accommodations

The 1993 Catalina 50 (often referred to as the Catalina Morgan 50, as it was built in the Morgan factory) features an exceptionally spacious, high-volume interior layout designed with a classic teak-joinery finish and standard 6'7" headroom throughout.  The four-cabin configuration was engineered primarily to accommodate a combination of large family, guests, and crew.

With center entry, the companionway and stairs lead to the cabin level of the boat.  Immediately aft of the stairs to port and starboard are the aft cabins with double berths, hanging lockers, and adjoining full heads.  forward of the starboard cabin is a U-shaped galley.  Opposite to port is a soft U-shaped salon settee and drop-leaf table.  Forward port and starboard of the main salon and galley are two opposing forward cabins with adjoining heads.

  • Twin forward staterooms (Port and Starboard): Located in the forward section, these cabins feature large double berths, a dedicated dressing area, ample hanging locker storage.
  • Adjoining heads (forward):  Positioned aft of the double berth and inboard of the changing area.  Both equipped with Vacu-Flush freshwater toilets, wet head shower configuration, sink/vanity, mirror, and cabinet storage.
  • U-shaped gourmet galley:  Located amidships on the starboard side, includes a Force 10 propane 3 burner stove/oven combination, dual stainless-steel sinks with hot and cold pressure water system, Corian type counter tops, top loading refer and freezer.
  • Twin Aft Staterooms (Port & Starboard): Flanking the companionway at the stern are two symmetrical guest cabins. Each provides a large double berth, standalone changing space, hanging lockers, and opening ports for cross-ventilation.
  • Adjoining heads (aft): Both equipped with Vacu-Flush freshwater toilets, wet head shower configuration, sink/vanity, mirror, and cabinet storage.

Main Salon & Shared Spaces

  • The Living Area: Well known for its massive beam carried far aft, the central salon is uncommonly wide. It features a massive U-shaped deep settee to port surrounding a large, highly polished teak dining table with a removable leaf extension.
  • Natural Light: The interior exceptionally bright and airy due to multiple overhead deck hatches and opening cabin trunk ports.
