The Hallberg-Rassy 48 is one of the newer generation Frers designs with a powerful rig, and beam carried well aft for an enhanced aft cabin. We originally specified this example with dual voltages and a hydraulic furling rig for the 2007 Annapolis Boat Show, sold her to the current owners in 2008, and have followed her progress since.
Bella Rose has cruised with her present owners throughout Europe and the Caribbean, including six Caribbean round trips from New England, and an Atlantic Circle including Ireland, Scotland and Scandinavia, and the Mediterranean as far as Turkey.
Professionally maintained and thoughtfully upgraded throughout her life, she underwent a mini-refit in Sweden (2012-13), with professional yard care and winter storage in premier yards. Satin finished mahogany with full flow-thru ventilation in louvered lockers. Two zone factory installed air conditioning and a diesel heater ducted to every cabin and head complete her comfort package for use in any climate.

Across the walkthrough is the large head compartment with washer/dryer, shower stall, Corian vanity and wash basin, locker storage, teak grating and electric toilet with fresh water flush.
Salon has two easy chairs to port and across to stbd. is a large drop leaf mahogany table and "L" shaped settee to starboard. Numerous lockers and storage areas surround the salon.
Aft to stbd is the "J" shaped sea going galley; opposite to port is the large nav. station with freezer compartment behind in companionway. To center of the port companionway is a large counter area with storage locker, electric locker, and large work surface. Storage abounds in the walkthrough as well as a large hanging locker.
Aft stateroom with a centerline queen berth, settees to port and starboard. Lockers surround the sides; mirrored vanity desk to stbd. separate head compartment with large separate shower stall; electric toilet with fresh water flush.
A safe seagoing galley - Storage lockers and drawers abound including under the sink and behind in the island making them all within easy reach with each locker having organizers. The fridge is large, efficient with organizing storage baskets and operates with reduced amp draw from its water cooled compressor. Countertop area includes a deep stainless steel double sink, large functional Corian work surfaces and a bread board. Freezer is located behind the nav. station and has a second thermostat for use as additional refrigeration.
Adjacent to the companionway the generous navigation station features a Furuno TZT3-16 multifunction device. There is a TZT3-12 MFD under the hard dodger. Sailing and navigational instruments are fully interfaced. Repeaters provide redundant information at the helm, navigation station, over the companionway, and aft cabin.

Deck and hull are of fiberglass/Divnylcell sandwiched foam construction reinforced in specific stress areas while providing insulation from heat and cold in any climate. Clean deck layout provides clutter free safe footing. Genoa blocks are adjustable from cockpit. HR's hallmark aluminum framed windscreen with tempered glass and opening ventilating section and hardtop provide a safe and dry cockpit in all sea conditions. Easy access to the swim platform through the stern pulpit gate. Fold-down swim ladder provides additional safety while boarding. Aft deck lazerettes are huge providing maximum deck storage for miscellaneous gear. Generous anchor locker. Gas locker storage outboard with tank USCG approved hold-down, electric shut-off and valving.
