Stephens was known for almost a century as one of the premier American boat builders; they were the West coast equivalent of Trumpy or Burger. Begining in the early 1900s with small wood runabouts, by 1980 they were building beautiful custom aluminum yachts of which Cheyenne is a prime example.
Built for a real estate developer and experienced yachtsman, she spent her first 15 years in a covered fresh water berth in Stockton and has had nothing but the best of care since, including being Awlgripped top to bottom in 2020. Before that, she had what was reportedly another million dollar major refit in the late 1990's which included being stripped to bare metal and Awlgripped as well as a major overhaul of the engines and gen sets and an all new interior.
Note that 2020 refit ran into the hundreds of thousands of dollars--painting a 67' motor yacht is a MAJOR project!
Perhaps more importantly, note she's lying in a potentially transferable downtown Sausalito Yacht Harbor slip; there's a years long wait for a slip in the Sausalito Yacht Harbor, especially for the big slips with views (her slip is right on the main turning basin, with San Francisco views forward and Mt. Tam views aft), so this is a material benefit if you're able to take advantage...
