This 1988 Jefferson Monticello motor yacht is a well-maintained and extensively upgraded vessel, offering a perfect blend of classic design and modern conveniences. It has primarily been a freshwater boat, contributing to its excellent condition and longevity. The thru hulls are in great shape, and the stainless fittings and fixtures remain in top-notch condition. The galley and aft salon have been updated, providing a stylish and functional living space for extended cruises or liveaboard options and is equipped with a Victron 48V Multiplus system, paired with 48V 400-watt solar panels, ensuring reliable power management for off-grid cruising.

Comfort is enhanced with new Raritan electric heads and a new hot water heater with a coil for improved hot water supply. The yacht also features new cranking batteries installed in 2022, alongside recent upgrades to the generator, including new pumps, hoses, a muffler, and a battery, ensuring smooth operation. Sanitary hoses have been replaced, contributing to the overall maintenance quality of the vessel.

The social areas include a nice wet bar, perfect for entertaining, and well-preserved brightwork and aft deck teak that showcase the yacht's timeless beauty. Additional features include spare props and a stainless anchor for reliability and peace of mind. For onboard entertainment, the salon is equipped with a pop-up 43" TV and surround sound, providing a luxurious touch for relaxing moments onboard.

The flybridge offers an excellent vantage point with a comfortable upper helm, featuring a new captain's chair. A bimini top provides shade, and also includes a BBQ grill, perfect for outdoor cooking and entertaining while enjoying panoramic views from the elevated deck.

The remodeled galley is designed for both convenience and style. It features a large refrigerator, providing ample storage for extended trips. A multi-function countertop oven, paired with an induction stovetop, allows for versatile cooking options, while a new dishwasher and garbage disposal adds modern functionality to this classic yacht.

The engine room is clean and well-maintained, housing reliable 3208 Caterpillar engines with under 1,700 hours of use. Recent upgrades include new fuel lines and an electric oil change system, simplifying maintenance. A recently certified fire extinguishing system ensures safety, while the clean bilges reflect the vessel’s meticulous upkeep.

The main helm includes a newer Garmin touch screen MFD, loud hailer, and VHF, as well as a security/observation camera system.

This is by no means a new boat but I believe it to be one of the better examples in its class. We bought the boat planning to spend a year or two doing the great loop but health issues changed our plans.

If you are looking to use iit primarily as a liveaboard, Little River, SC boasts several very nice marinas and a great liveaboard community.

Accommmodations

Forward of galley and dining area is a bow guest stateroom with private head. Large galley, dining and gathering space is just aft of forward cabin and features a fully appointed galley which is newly re-modeled and up-fitted with new counter tops, dishwasher and electric cooktop. Step down moving aft with laundry center on port with 2nd guest cabin on starboard. Large head with ensuite shower on port. All the way aft is a full beam master suite with queen island bed and loads of storage closets and drawers. A large master bath featuring tub and shower is on starboard. Moving forward and up one deck level is the helm area with direct ladder access to flybridge and aft main salon behind helm area has plenty of seating for relaxing and taking in the surrounding views.
