HULL & DECK:
- Solid fiberglass hull with molded in plank lines, and quarter guards, blue boot top, red bottom.
- The bottom was soda blasted and barrier coated.
- The bottom was sanded smooth and finished in red Sea Hawk Colorkote triple biocide 2 coats
- New ThruHulls and associated strainers, hoses for Mains. (2025)
- Wide side decks with teak overlay in excellent condition.
- Decks were sanded, teak bungs missing/pronounced removed, screw holes epoxied and bungs replaced.
- All decks/cabin top cleaned and sealed using Teak Decking Systems products.

ACCOMMODATIONS:
Accommodates up to five in two staterooms and the salon in a modified Grand Banks layout. Beautiful varnished teak joinery work throughout with some flat panels in the
staterooms finished in linen white. There are also two doors, port and starboard, to access the side decks. The equally attractive cabin sole is teak parquet and is also varnished (note: salon floor stripped and refinished 2023 with Epifanes varnish products. The interior is bright and airy thanks to the numerous windows (many of them sliding with screens) and hatches (note: sliding windows do need track cleaning and lubricating. There is one broken pane of glass in forward head not visible from outside the boat due to high deck bulwark. Brass Grand Banks swivel reading lamps are at each berth and settee as well as several teak framed overhead lights. There is the Espar diesel cabin heat system or the reverse cycle air conditioning (heat or cooling).
Starting forward is the guest stateroom with 6'6" vee berth below. There is storage in six drawers and a locker below the berth (as well as some bin type storage) and in the hanging locker aft of the port vee. The hanging locker is lined and is fitted with its own automatic light. The hull is lined with varnished teak ceilings and there is a custom bookshelf at the forward face of the trunk cabin.
A private guest head features a cultured marble vanity and sink with H&C pressure water, good storage and an ensuite shower with separate sump (New 5/25) and a new electric head plumbed via a Y-valve to the holding tank.(2023) The forward cabin may be given complete privacy by means of a louvered teak door and sliding overhead teak hatch.
Up three steps to the bright and airy main salon with galley to port and lower helm station to starboard. The main salon features a 6'6" L-shaped settee to starboard. There is a teak drop leaf dining table (restored 2022/2023 in both joinery and stripped/re-finished with gold compass embedded in the Epifanes varnish.
The valance above the L-settee has been tastefully decorated with marine antiques including a spyglass, ebony parallel rules, and a half model. Forward of the settee is a "dry bar" with additional bottle and glass storage plus storage in a locker with shelves, then further forward is the starboard side door. Opposite the L-settee is the port side door with entertainment center for possible TV location, custom stereo mounting, three drawers and storage in another locker.
The galley is forward to port and is the standard Grand Banks configuration for the 36. It features a refrigeration box fitted with Grunert Baysider II 12V refrigeration system. The teak/stainless door is fitted with a temperature gauge for the box. The original stove was removed and upgraded to a three burner Force 10 propane stove with oven, plumbed to two twenty pound LPG cylinders located in the fly bridge.
The standard GB counter top was replaced with a Corian counter and integral double basin sink with cutting board top. At the aft end of the galley is a pull-out cutting board that further expands the work surface and above this is a cabinet with two lockers. Additional storage is in four drawers and two lockers. Opposite the range is the convenient tip out trash bin. The entire galley area provides for a very functional food preparation area with ample storage for food stuffs, utensils, and dinnerware.
Three steps down, aft of the Salon is the master stateroom which features an offset double berth 4" wider than the standard Grand Banks double, to starboard. Below the berth there is excellent storage in a chart drawer capable of taking full sized unfolded charts and in two cargo drawers. On centerline is a bureau with four drawers and hideaway steps to egress through the aft companionway. To port is a custom Grand Banks built desk with built in 12V and 110V lighting. A GB teak stool hides away underneath when not in use. Forward and to port is the huge hanging locker with shelf and automatic light, while opposite to starboard is the master head featuring a separate stall shower, cultured marble vanity and sink and new electric head plumbed via a Y-valve to the holding tank.
ELECTRONICS/NAVIGATION:
Fully equipped upper and lower helm stations with full electronics and vessel controls.
The electrical panels are located adjacent to the lower helm station.
Garmin Radar/Plotters at both helm stations.
Lower Helm:
- Garmin 5212 Plotter/Radar, interfaced with Garmin autopilot and Vesper AIS. Both GPSs are connected to NEMA 2000.

- Sanded, re-caulked, and re-bunged all teak decks, steps, and cabin roof, and sealed using Teak Decking Systems products.
- Added Sunbrella toast color cap rail covers to protect the varnish.
- Replaced windshield and side door Sunbrella window covers.
- Added a Sunbrella toast color fly-bridge cover a temporary bridge cover as the boat did not have a bridge cover and the large enclosure had failed for previous owner. The current cover has significant useful life left but could be spruced up by a professional canvas company.
- Removed both shafts, replaced cutlass bearings on struts and at stuffing boxes, repacked stuffing boxes and checked engine alignments.
- Boatwise hoist system removed from oversized swim platform, swim platform sanded and re-finished.
- Salon floor (including hatches) stripped, refinished removing imperfections and 12 coats of Epifanes varnish applied 10 strong high-gloss, 2 final coats of rubbed effect.
- Salon port and starboard doors removed, stripped, 6 coats of Epifanes.
- Both engines and genset serviced by yard mechanic, oil samples on all three recorded in excellent shape.
- New engine and genset exhaust hoses, new elbows, new vernatone mufflers and clamps replaced while fuel tanks out of boat.
- New raw-water hoses on all engines (mains plus genset) replaced 2023.
- Both heads re-plumbed - it was discovered they had siphons incorrectly installed and would not draw water effectively.
- Holding tank manifold removed and found to be plugged, refurbished, west-system epoxied, painted. New vent hose, new pump-out hose, new macerator hose, new rear head hose installed. New hose for front head ready to be installed.
- New macerator installed including new anti-siphon elbow for macerator hose.
- Main engine alternators removed and professionally rebuilt by Leece Neville service facility.
- New main engine internal (fresh/antifreeze) water pumps, new belt tensioning arms and new belts installed.
- Main and genset engines sanded where needed and painted with multiple coats of engine manufacturer color paint.
- 3 8D house batteries removed that obstructed access to starboard engine. Replaced with single Rolls battery with 6 individual removable cells. The same type of project still to be done on start battery remove single 8D and replace with two group 31 batteries between engine beds to allow improved access to outboard side of port engine.
- Removed original steel fuel tanks. Replaced with 4 (2 stacked per side) aluminum fuel tanks built by Luther Welding in Bristol, RI.
- New aft engine room wall Soundown insulation installed. (2023)
- While fuel tanks were out, access to main engine and genset exhaust hoses, mufflers (engine mufflers in aft cabin which required removal of some cabinetry) showed significant aging and all hoses/mufflers were replaced. Fiberglass 90 degree elbows added alongside each engine to reduce stress point on flexible exhaust hose.
- Bottom stripped, checked for blisters (found none -very smooth, great shape) - 2 coats of bright red Sea Hawk Colorkote applied, cleaned and repainted (5/25)
- Mast and boom painted 2022/2023.
- Exterior window frames caulked and painted 2022/2023.
- 2023 model year 1500 amp Lofrans Tigres windlass.
