Baltic Yachts was started in 1972 by five engineers from Swan Yachts. They wanted to develop a yacht with the sailing performance of a Swan Yacht but better comfort under deck. If you are looking for a passage-making, go anywhere fast cruiser with classic lines and the legendary quality and design that only Baltic Yachts can give you, this is your boat. She has been maintained to a very high standard with many improvements by her current and previous owner including re-decking with vacuum-bagged teak decks (No fasteners) and Awl Gripped topsides and superstructure. More recently, a new Simrad NAC 3 Autopilot was installed, fridge and freezer refrigeration compressors were replaced, the sanitary system was gone through, the galley equipment restored, teak interior finish was selectively refinished and cushions reupholstered so she looks flawless down below and on deck.
The rigging systems and deck hardware layout have been modernized, and with the addition of electric primary winches lead aft the the helm station, an asymmetric spinnaker and a bow-thruster she handles like dream and can be sailed by a couple.
She is a real head-turner in excellent condition. The intricate service records from the past four years are a testament to the ongoing stewardship of this modern classic, which surely is a joy to behold.
