1981 HATTERAS 48 COCKPIT MOTOR YACHT — "HATTAGIRL"
This classic Hatteras Motor Yacht is very likely the cleanest, most updated, and best-maintained example of her kind currently on the market. Her owner is a highly experienced yachtswoman who understands the importance of proper maintenance and is every bit as meticulous about the cosmetics as she is about the mechanics — the result is a vessel that shows better, and runs better, than nearly any comparable boat you'll find.
She's rare, too. Only a handful of the 48 CMY were built with a cockpit configuration, which is a major advantage: owners still get the full-beam master suite, but gain the added convenience of a cockpit for water activities, easier boarding, and simple tender launching for shore excursions.
HATTAGIRL won't disappoint. She's a beautiful boat, freshly serviced, and ready to cruise for the upcoming summer season. With remarkably low hours on her twin Detroit Diesels and a spotless, outstanding engine room, this is a rare opportunity to own a Classic Hatteras kept to this standard.

Aft to port is the down galley, with a comfortable dining settee to starboard and separate access to the forward head. Engine room access is beneath the salon stairway. Up a few steps is a roomy salon with a lower helm station to starboard, and down aft is the full-beam master stateroom.
SALON
The lower helm station sits to starboard, followed by upholstered sofas and built-in bookshelves. A built-in entertainment center houses the stereo, TV, and DVD player, with carpeting throughout. Climate is handled by Cruisair air conditioning/heat across three zones.

It has its own Cruisair controls and a portside guest head with mirrored vanity, VacuFlush toilet, and shower plumbing in place.
The full-beam master stateroom centers a queen berth with walk-around access on both sides and built-in bedside tables. Storage is generous — plenty of built-in drawers, two full-size hanging lockers, and a dedicated shelved locker for folded items. A companionway locker conceals a stackable washer/dryer. The master has its own Cruisair and stereo controls, and an en-suite head with VacuFlush toilet, mirrored vanity and sink, and a fully enclosed shower with seat.
