HEART OF GOLD Boat for Sale

42' Southerly | 2012 | $399,900

Sarasota, FL
Off Market

Heart Of Gold Boat | 42' Southerly 2012

This rare, one-owner, Southerly 42RST is the very desirable two cabin version that has been updated recently with new sails, new hull paint, new canvas, new engine mounts, new dripless shaft seal and a new cutlass bearing.  Delivered to the owners in UK during the spring of 2012, they sailed it back to the western hemisphere via the ARC, where they placed second in class (and 9th overall out of 350 boats!).  This boat has been professionally maintained and is ready for new owners and new adventures.  Onboard training and an option for temporary dockage is included.

The Southerly 42 features the highly developed Swing Keel which gives the freedom and versatility to sail in almost any waters. With the keel lowered (8' 11"), the deep draft makes for fast, serious cruising. At the ‘touch of a button’ the keel can be raised to give a shallow draft of just 2' 9" – perfect for shallow water exploring.

When the Southerly 42RST was first developed, Humphreys Design commissioned a fast, modern hull for good performance, with the stability and comfort for cruising. Deck styling and a sociable cockpit layout with twin helm positions, designed by Stephen Jones, created one of the most comfortable and easy to sail cruising yachts available.

With excellent build quality and exquisite interiors, Northshore Yachts have brought a wealth of knowledge and practical design to the Southerly range.
