KOINONIA Boat for Sale

47' Passport | 1984 | $249,999

Saint Augustine, FL
Off Market

Koinonia Boat | 47' Passport 1984

This yacht is currently in transit from Saint Martin to the Eastern US/ Florida.  Check out the linked virtual tour on YouTube: https://youtu.be/XjARQsBJe8Y

This stunning and rare Robert Perry designed Passport 47 Aft Cockpit has been meticulously maintained and continuously upgraded with no expense spared (hull #7 of 14 built).  Easily the finest example of this traditional transom model afloat, in addition to Passport’s legendary reputation for quality, the P47 is also one Bob Perry’s most handsome designs.

Taiwanese built, the hull is stout and laid up with solid fiberglass nearly 2 inches thick below the waterline with a fully encapsulated lead keel.  The interior is constructed of solid teak joinery.

The big sister to the popular P40, this semi-custom yacht is a sailing machine built for comfortable and safe bluewater passages.  A true go-anywhere boat with a timeless aesthetic, incredible build quality, and generous storage capacity for long distance cruising.   Don’t let the age of the hull fool you - this boat is fully modernized and stronger than any production boat on the market!

The boat has newly sprayed Awlgrip paint on the hull and barrier coat and Petit Pro hard bottom paint in March of 2024. The boat also has a new ReLION LiFePO4 battery bank.  All chainplates and rigging have been replaced with Hi-Mod mechanical terminals and new Hayn turnbuckles in 2020. New Schaefer roller furlers, Kato Marine davits, custom anchor roller extension, and the list goes on and on. Over $100K US invested since 2019.  Teak decks were eliminated in 2014 and the deck re-cored with Coosa foam and finished with light grey non-skid. An ideal yacht for a cruising couple or young family (the previous owners are a family of five).

“Koinonia” is easily short handed with most controls led aft.  ICW capable with air draft of 62ft, including antennas. The boat is beautifully balanced with a light helm and a safe yet spacious cockpit. While comfortable and stable, the boat is incredibly light on her feet and performs well on all points of sail.  Exceptionally equipped for cruising, this yacht is ready for her next offshore passage right now.

The owners have kept detailed digital records of all maintenance and upgrades since they took ownership in May of 2019. Full out-of-water survey available from June of 2023, upon request along with additional pictures.

*** Full specs under "Other Details" section ***

The owners will provide a detailed hand-off to the new owners of the yacht’s systems and are available for questions following the sale.  The boat is available for in-person showings now, while in transit from Saint Martin to the US.
