KOKORO, meaning “heart” in Japanese, was commissioned as a personal and considered project - a tribute from the owner to his wife. Delivered in 2020 as Moonen’s project YN199, she is the second hull in the acclaimed Martinique series and the first to be offered on the brokerage market. Built to Lloyd’s Register and privately owned since delivery, KOKORO combines exceptional build quality, refined interior design, and transoceanic capability. With low engine hours, a 4,000nm range, and a layout that supports both private and charter use, she represents a rare and highly appealing offering in the 36m class
The interior of KOKORO was developed in collaboration with the award-winning London studio Studio Indigo, whose design approach delivers a refined, contemporary atmosphere throughout. The palette is calm and balanced, with understated textures and elegant finishes creating a welcoming and sophisticated onboard environment. Accommodation is for up to twelve guests across five cabins, including a full-beam master suite that offers excellent volume and privacy. The guest cabins are generously proportioned and thoughtfully arranged to suit both family and charter use.
The main salon flows seamlessly into the dining area, with large windows drawing in natural light and offering a continuous connection to the sea. Above, the Sky Lounge provides an inviting secondary interior space, perfect for relaxed evenings or quiet retreat. Every area has been carefully considered to ensure comfort, practicality, and aesthetic coherence, resulting in an interior that is as functional as it is beautifully detailed.
KOKORO offers a versatile and well-balanced deck layout, designed to support both relaxation and entertainment. The sundeck is a highlight, providing expansive open space for lounging, sunbathing, or informal dining, with panoramic views across the water. The main deck aft and bridge deck aft each offer inviting al fresco dining areas, while the foredeck provides an additional lounge space that can be enjoyed underway or at anchor.
A portside garage houses an 6m (19.7') tender, allowing for a clean and uncluttered transom, while also enabling easy access to the water. With a shallow draft of just 7’ (2.15m), KOKORO is well suited to coastal cruising and can access a wider range of anchorages than many yachts in her category.
Built to Lloyd’s Register EMEA with class notation 100A1, SSC, Yacht Mono, G6, LMC, KOKORO benefits from a fast displacement steel hull that delivers excellent efficiency and sea-keeping. Powered by twin Caterpillar C32 engines, she reaches a top speed of 16.5 knots and offers a transoceanic range of 4,000 nautical miles at a cruising speed of 14.5 knots. Her technical specification is comprehensive, with worldwide shore power connectivity and systems engineered for reliability, long-distance cruising, and ease of operation.
Since delivery, KOKORO has remained in private use only, and her engine and generator hours are notably low. Built to a high specification from the outset, she is charter-capable, should her next owner wish to explore commercial operation, though she has never been used for charter to date.
