The hulls were designed by Naval Architect Fred Hudson, who focused on a soft, heavy ride in rough waters. Because of this, Uniesse Yachts are famous in the brokerage market for feeling "solid as a rock" under foot. This is a direct result of a very generous fiberglass laminate. You will likely find that the Uniesse is significantly thicker and heavier than modern 2020 production yachts of the same size. In the early 2000's Uniesse used a high ration of resin-2-glass and heavy layers of woven roving. This vessel was custom made.
The Uniesse 55 holds a European CE certification of Category A - Ocean. This is the highest rating designated under the European Recreational Craft Directive (RCD).
