Makai Boat | 40' Island Packet 2003

S/V Makai is an incredibly well-maintained and updated example of the Island Packet 380 fleet. She has been with her second owners who have invested in her with an open checkbook. If you are looking for a well-found, fully equipped, ocean capable sailing yacht that you could sail around the world tomorrow then Makai should not be missed.

ACCOMMODATIONS & LAYOUT

The Island Packet 380 is a 38-foot bluewater cruiser known for a spacious, livable two-cabin layout designed for comfort and storage, featuring a large forward island berth, a walkthrough head with a separate shower stall, a U-shaped galley, and a generous salon, sleeping up to six. It features extensive use of teak, 6'4" headroom, and generous stowage.

Key Accommodation Features:

Forward Owner's Cabin: Features a centerline queen island berth with custom mattress and access from both sides. It includes a cedar-lined hanging locker, vanity, and private access to the head.

Head Compartment: Located forward, this large head features dual access doors (from salon and owner's cabin) and a separate shower area with a fold-down teak seat and a folding acrylic door.

Main Salon: Spacious, with opposing long settees (port side pulls out to a double berth) and a large bulkhead-mounted table that folds away to maximize space.

Galley: A U-shaped galley immediately to starboard of the companionway, featuring a deep double sink, top-loading refrigerator/freezer, propane stove with oven, and extensive counter space.

Aft Cabin: Features a large athwartships double berth with custom mattress and ample storage lockers, and easy access to the engine compartment.

Navigation Station: Situated at the aft end of the port settee, utilizing the salon seating.
