New to market! Navigator from California has built hundreds of pilothouse yachts, yet rarely on the market…because the owners love them!
"I did it My Way" is an exceptional opportunity to purchase a pilothouse yacht with 3 staterooms, including a full beam center master with ensuite bath. Note the Navy blue hull, beautiful Amtico flooring throughout, bow/stern thruster, new Odyssey batteries, Starlink, solid hull tender, upgraded davit, large cockpit (with adjustable sunshade) and a 16 kw genset.
Her current owner has spent a year ensuring she is ship shape, including the recent October 2025 complete bottom job where she was soda blasted down the glass and received 3 coats barrier, 1 coat sealer, 2 coats ablative and barnacle buster on the running gear. She’s been maintained all year by a professional detailer with twice monthly washes and regular wax/polish/seal and brightworks maintenance. She is ready to survey!
Boasting an extra wide salon and galley with tons of storage and refrigeration, the Navigator 5400 is among the top liveaboard layouts available in this class.
Navigator designs are extremely economical to cruise and make the perfect 'loop' yacht! Note that "I did it My Way" benefits from a custom lifting strake/spray rail along the hull waterline that reduces roll and provides excellent spray deflection.

Opposing settees are covered with beige ultra-leather with custom center inserts for more comfort). The galley is forward. Note wood blinds cover frameless windows on entire main deck.
Up a few steps, enter the wheel house featuring a large settee (seats 5 easy) with a table (custom raised to act as computer table) to port with plenty of visibility forward and to the sides. A centerline helm chair electrically articulates and swivels.
To starboard and down steps is a foyer for the staterooms.
The master stateroom is aft (amidships) and features a platform queen-sized bed athwartships facing a built-in credenza with 3 hanging lockers (and the tv). Forward in the foyer is a guest stateroom featuring upper lower twin bunks to port and a VIP stateroom forward with another full-queen sized bed. Both staterooms offer plenty of locker/drawer space and share a bath (with stall shower) to starboard.

A wide-body design, the side decks at the salon area have a narrow walkaround with a handhold rail above the windows; ideal for hanging fenders in locks. The foredeck is accessed by a sliding door to the starboard of the wheelhouse. The flybridge is accessed by steps in the wheelhouse and features plenty of shaded seating via 2 settees (sunbrella covered), with a wet bar aft. Further aft, a boat deck makes it easy to launch and recover the tender (to starboard) via a davit. The cockpit is quite spacious with room for a table and chairs.
The hull is solid fiberglass with no coring material is used in the hull. Another excellent feature of the Navigator is the use of aluminum stringers and beams for floor support, which is much lighter and stronger than wooden members used by most other builders. The insulation is exceptional - providing a quiet ride!
This Navigator 5400 hull design has been improved with a custom lifting/strake (doubles as a spray rail) running the full length of the hull at the water line – thereby affecting the lateral motion significantly!

This rare and exceptionally outfitted Navigator 5400 is perfectly suited for a couple to cruise the ‘loop’ and Bahamas. Navigator hit the mark when they designed this yacht as a lightweight wide-body owner/operator yacht capable of displacement or planing cruise speeds at the best economy seen on a pilothouse yacht!
By widening the salon out to nearly the full beam, the design makes the best use of interior space, yet still allows for a narrow walk around deck. The result is a good compromise between practicality and comfort.
With over 1000 Navigators and Californians built since 1988, these yachts were produced in Southern California with production changing hands in 2012.
