OLDIELOX 2 is a 2019 55' Talaria MKII's that was commissioned by very US Navy veteran, experienced yachtsman and multiple Hinckley owner. Combining the owners’ desires for a family cruising Talaria 55 with Hinckley’s engineering team resulted in the ONLY Talaria 55 build by Hinckley to date that comfortably sleeps six in the custom three cabin, two head interior. The interior is finished a classic “Herreshoff” inspired design with gloss varnished solid North American Cherry wood accents that are surrounded by gloss cloud white painted surfaces throughout the interior of the vessel. The interior can only be described as classic and timeless.  

OLDIELOX 2 was the first Talaria 55 built using our most advanced hull laminate processes, engineered by Hinckley, that includes the extensive use of carbon fiber throughout the entire inner skin, an aramid fiber outer skin that is sandwich over a Corecell foam core and infused with epoxy resin, finished in an autoclave to ensure this hull was the strongest, lightest and stiffest Talaria 55 built.  Maintained by Hinckley Yachts Services from new OLDIELOX will be conveyed with a Certified Pre-Owned Warranty.

Packed with modern conveniences like C-Zone digital switching which allows you to easily control all onboard systems through one of the multiple C-Zone displays, the network of Garmin displays or your smart phone.  OLDIELOX 2 has been on a campaign of continuous improvements and now boasts a recently installed Starlink system will allow the owners to easily stay in constant communication with family and friends while providing full streaming service to the installed entertainment systems.  CAT ACERT C18's, one of the most reputable engines in the marine industry, provides excellent cruising performance at a very respectable 30 knots with a range of over 430 nautical miles.

CONSTRUCTION:

Hull:  Hinckley DualGuard® Composite Construction- Aramid/E-glass outer skin. Carbon fiber inner skin. Laminated with Epoxy resin using Seaman Composite Resin Infusion Molding Process (SCRIMP®) and post cured.

Deck: 

 E-glass outer and inner skin with closed cell foam core.  - laminated with Vinylester resin using Seaman Composite Resin Infusion Molding Process (SCRIMP®). These materials and building techniques provide for a superior surface finish, greater resistance to osmosis, high degree of stiffness & stiffness/weight ratios, and greater hull strength against impact damage and thermal insulation.

• Non-metallic composite thru-hull fittings with ball valve seacocks are below waterline and above the waterline where appropriate. Bronze seacocks, thru-hull fittings and sea strainers on propulsion engines.
• Rub rail has stainless steel half-round on fiberglass molding.
• Swim Platform painted to match hull color with teak decking and stainless steel half round. 

Deck Features:

• Molded Matterhorn White gelcoat deck with molded non-skid.
• Tapered varnished teak toe rails with Hinckley profile
• Eyebrow: Varnished teak molding around cabin top
• Anchor Locker: Molded into the foredeck, with hinged and gas-spring assisted hatch
• Stern Utility Locker: Molded access door to twin 50-amp shore cords and city water inlet
• Cockpit Shower with hot/cold mixing valve and handheld shower nozzle with stainless steel covers
• Coaming doors with stays provide easy access to side and foredecks.
• Fresh water washdown spigot in the cockpit.
• Chocks: Two (2) Hinckley-styled open bow chocks, type 316L stainless steel. Four (4) Hinckley-styled closed chocks located at fore and aft spring cleats.
• Mooring Cleats: Eight (8) cleats type 316 stainless steel, sized as follows: Bow: 2 x 12”, Fore and aft springs: 4 x 10”, Stern:2 x 12”
• Handrails: Varnished teak handrails mounted on forward cabin top and pilothouse top 
• Custom painted handrails on port and starboard side of pilothouse for ease of transiting side decks.  Handrails are painted to match the deck color
• Starlink satellite internet
• Portlights: 8 opening ports- one in guest head, two in master head/shower, two in galley, two in forward guest cabin and one in aft guest cabin. Opening ports have screens. 2 fixed ports in master cabin. All ports have drop down-style curtains of Poseidon Pacific Pleats – NP-06 Cotton and mounted behind gloss varnished cherry valence.
• Five (5) polished stainless steel Manship hatches on cabin top. All have SkyScreen screens and blinds.
• Custom Manship hatch in master cabin with powered open/close and self-dogging.
• Fender Storage: Provided for six (6) fenders, three (3) of which remain attached to boat and stored for easy deployment. Two (2) remaining fenders store in holders under cockpit hatch.
• Additional wichard folding padeyes and chafe strips to provide additional positioning of fenders and docklines
• Starboard transom door gives access to the generous swim platform.
• Ensign: Stern mounted 5’ varnished teak staff with flush socket
• Overboard direct drainage scuppers

Cockpit

MKII styled cockpit with integrated, molded L-settee, with ample storage throughout. Port and starboard amenities in forward port side of cockpit. Access to side deck provided by coaming gate on starboard and port side.

Cockpit features:

• Two (2) Large molded L-settees with storage accessed via hatches in the seat bottoms.  All cushions are “Framed Bolster Style” and Ralph Lauren and Sunbrella premium fabrics.  Bolsters finished in Perennial Canva Weave “Hello Sailor” and seat bottom and seat backs in Ralph Lauren “Fleet Street Navy”.
• Amenity forward starboard side of cockpit with refrigerator below and Kenyon electric grill with integral cover in top.
• Amenity forward port side is open storage.
• Cockpit coaming doors both port and starboard.
• Cockpit Table - teak gloss varnish finish in keeping with exterior carpentry details. Table is on removable pedestal for easy storage.
• Varnished teak cladding on inside aft corners of pilothouse sides

• Salon Entry Doors: A one of a kind master piece, this custom built teak, cherry and safety glass panel structure, provides easy access between the pilothouse and cockpit via a beautifully designed raise panel teak on the exterior and cherry on the interior which is finished in high gloss varnish.
• Custom Herreshoff style high gloss finishes throughout pilothouse and salon area.
• Custom designed U-shaped settees to starboard and port with storage in the seat bottoms, the seat cushions style is an “overstuffed box” on seat bottoms and seat backs are custom shaded maximum comfort.  Settees are upholstered Ralph Lauren “Grimaldi Weave Navy Blue” and piped with Ultraleather 291-0001. 
• Salon Table: Varnished cherry table to starboard.
• Salon Windows: MKII Pilothouse windows are “frameless” Stainless Steel. Side windows are electric sliding with controls at helm for port and starboard windows plus lock out. Control switch also for port window on port side.
• Side and Aft windows have thermal film treatment

GENERATOR:   

Westerbeke 15 Kw generator (710 hours) rated for 240-Volts AC, is mounted in a sound shield and is outfitted with DC voltmeter, water temperature gauge, oil pressure gauge, hour meter, control switch, shutdown bypass switch and pre-heat.

Mechanical

Each engine features on demand, fully paralleled PTO redundancy to provide hydraulic power for steering, bow thruster, and windlass.

• Twin Caterpillar C18 ACERT 1150 common rail diesel engines with ZF transmissions in lieu of standard engines. (640 hours Port/650 hours starboard)
• Hydraulic PTO redundancy. Feature achieved through the following means: Installed additional PTO units and parallel system to provide redundant hydraulic service for jet buckets, bow thruster, windlass and steering (steering uses smaller independent PTO unit). System to provide full hydraulic control in the event of the loss of either engine. The PTO units are on-demand and are fully paralleled.
• ZF transmissions IRM325 with 1.225:1 reduction gear ratio
