Rachel Ann Boat | 42' Hallberg-Rassy 1999

The Hallberg-Rassy 42F Mk II, crafted by renowned designer Germán Frers, is celebrated as an exceptional bluewater cruiser for its robust construction, comfortable layout, and exceptional sailing performance. Built between 1994 and 2001, a total of 181 hulls were produced, establishing it as a trusted model for long-distance cruising. Sailors praise its seaworthiness and resilience, with Cruising World noting its "steady helm and balanced rig" as ideal for offshore adventures. Its spacious cockpit, ample storage, and thoughtful design make it a favorite among seasoned bluewater sailors.

Rachel Ann has clearly been lovingly maintained, presenting herself in remarkable condition for a Hallberg-Rassy 42F MKII. Her care history speaks to this: her first five years were spent in fresh water with indoor winter storage, ensuring a gentle start to her life. From 2005, she was based in the Chesapeake Bay with her second owner, where she primarily enjoyed calm local sails and wintered on the hard. Since 2022, her current owner has continued this gentle treatment, using her sparingly yet faithfully. A true gem for anyone seeking a well-kept classic Hallberg-Rassy.

Rachel Ann is thoughtfully outfitted for easy, shorthanded sailing, complete with in-mast furling, a bow thruster, and Hallberg-Rassy’s signature comforts like air conditioning and easy chairs. Her 6' 7" draft provides exceptional performance and stability, making her well-suited for bluewater cruising and offshore adventures. This cherished Hallberg-Rassy 42F offers a rare blend of comfort, capability, and careful preservation—ready to deliver countless memorable voyages.
