Board easily from the dock, or the tender, to the broad teak-clad swim platform, made clear and usable by stowing the tender on a Freedom Lift. To the cockpit through the large transom door. Then well-positioned handrails lead to the secure side decks port and starboard.
Enter the bright salon with plush settees-ample and comfortable for a small crowd. Helm located forward and to starboard with Stidd seats, all controls, and a door to the side decks.
Down a couple of steps from the salon to the linear galley along the port side, with excellent storage and work space Further forward, down a couple more steps, the galley continues, then further forward to the accommodations area and the three cabin / three head layout.
The master stateroom with private ensuite bathroom and shower is to starboard, and to port is the guest day head. Then forward is the private bunk cabin, and further forward is the VIP guest stateroom, with private head and shower
Master Stateroom Midships
The master stateroom is midships and opens from the accommodations hallway via double Shoji style doors. The queen berth is athwartships, with ample room to walk around three sides. Storage in five drawers underneath berth, drawers and cabinets all along the aft bulkhead, cedar-lined hanging lockers and cabinets and drawers in nightstands on either side of the berth.
Private Master Head
Ensuite to the master stateroom is the private owners' head and shower. Corian counter top with under-mount basin and designer faucet.
VIP Guest Stateroom Forward
Forward is the VIP guest cabin with a centre-line walk around queen island berth with two storage drawers underneath, and with port and starboard upper storage shelves.
VIP Head
The guest head is accessed from the accommodations hallway, or by direct private access from the forward cabin.
Port Bunk Guest Cabin
One might expect a 54' yacht to have a third cabin, and sometimes when they do, the other main staterooms are compromised. Not so in the Sabre 54, and "SALISH SKY'S" layout does not disappoint. The port guest cabin completes that occasional need with over and under bunks, and quite reasonable floor space. Storage in a night stand cabinet with locker and drawer, and two more drawers under the lower berth. Fresh air and natural light through opening overhead hatch, and opening port light, both with bug screens and privacy shades.
Day Head
In the accommodations hallway, just forward of the utility area, is the day head to port. There is no need for day guests to enter a stateroom to access the toilet while just visiting for the day or evening - so unique and useful in any yacht yet alone an express cruiser.
Enter from the cockpit to the salon through double sliding glass doors, framed by polished stainless steel. The salon is surrounded by large windows, three of which open for fresh air (all with screens). These bring in a tremendous amount of natural light, and all windows and doors have privacy blinds, including the starboard door at the helm station.
From the salon, descend two steps to the galley with Viatera Quartz work surfaces, and ample storage in numerous drawers and lockers.
Down three more steps to the “lower galley” with an office desk, and more storage. These steps are raised electrically to access the Splendide washer/dryer combo.
The helm is to starboard with seating for captain and mate in. Amazing 360 degree visibility to the sea scape, and builds confidence in tight quarters.
All navigation, communication, and engine controls are intuitively at hand, making command of the yacht a breeze.
AC and DC power systems service the vessel through the C-Zone system, and through circuit breaker panels with appropriate voltage and ampere gauges. 120/240VAC is provided by 50 Amp shore connection, by the generator, and based on available house bank battery power, through the inverter.
"SALISH SKY" machinery has been religiously maintained. The engine room is accessed through an electrically operated wide hatch in the cockpit. Space here is well over 5’ tall and there is plenty of room to access all sides of the engines, and all systems located here, for inspections, maintenance, and service.
"SALISH SKY" moves smoothly and swiftly by two Volvo D11 common rail diesel engines, driving Volvo IPS drives. Top speed is an amazing 35 knots. From Volvo: “Volvo Penta D11-IPS is a perfectly matched package, powered by the in-line 6-cylinder D11, a 10.8-liter, common-rail diesel with a twin-entry turbo, and supercharger for incredible, low rpm response. Working together with a perfectly matched IPS2 pod, twin counter-rotating propellers and the Electronic Vessel Control system, this package offers excellent maneuverability, long action range and low emissions.”
Step easily on board from a dock or a tender to the broad swim platform. Then through the large opening transom door up a step to the cockpit.
The expansive cockpit is clad in teak with seating for a small crowd in two L-shaped settees port and starboard, each surrounding a varnished teak table, and each with storage underneath. Storage also in three cockpit lazarettes. There are two aft facing benches, also port and starboard of the salon entry.
An electrically deployed SureShade cockpit awning offers protection from sun, or light rain. The fabric and frame were replaced in 2025
Forward, up steps from either side of the cockpit to the side decks to the foredeck. The side decks are wide, and secure, with a large teak cap-rail, and beefy stainless steel railing and handholds, for safety while transiting the side decks, or for fender and line adjustments.
Ahead of the cockpit, all decks are signature Sabre two-tone gelcoat and non-skid.
