SILVERLINING
Combining classic sailing yacht elegance with exceptional bluewater and extended cruising capabilities, SILVERLINING is a distinguished 32-metre custom sailing yacht designed by the renowned naval architects Sparkman & Stephens. Launched in 2011, she represents a unique opportunity to acquire a proven world-cruising yacht, thoughtfully designed for extended exploration without compromising comfort, style or performance.
Commissioned as a private family yacht, SILVERLINING was constructed in Thailand under the close supervision of her first owners, working alongside a dedicated team of experienced yacht builders. The vision was to create a self-sufficient sailing yacht capable of taking a family around the world, providing a comfortable home and learning environment for their children throughout an extraordinary six-year cruising adventure.
Under her subsequent ownership, SILVERLINING continued her exploration of the Pacific and Asia, benefiting from an extensive programme of maintenance, upgrades and technical improvements. Her proven cruising credentials, combined with ongoing investment in her systems and equipment, make her an appealing proposition for an owner seeking a capable and well-established long-range sailing yacht.
Designed with tropical cruising in mind, her generous exterior spaces provide an exceptional connection to the surrounding environment. Expansive deck areas, comfortable sunpads and custom awnings create inviting spaces for relaxation, while the well-considered cockpit layout offers convenient access to the upper saloon and dining area. Whether enjoying an informal lunch at anchor or entertaining guests against a backdrop of spectacular coastal scenery, SILVERLINING offers an effortless indoor-outdoor lifestyle.
The interior, designed by Chris Lenz, combines bespoke craftsmanship with a timeless, welcoming aesthetic. An abundance of natural light filters through the expansive windows of the upper and lower saloons, creating bright and comfortable living spaces with panoramic views of the surrounding seascape. Custom-crafted furnishings and carefully selected materials contribute to an atmosphere of understated luxury, equally suited to extended passages and leisurely cruising.
Accommodation is provided for up to eight guests across four beautifully appointed staterooms on the lower deck. The impressive full-beam master suite is a particular highlight, featuring a handcrafted wooden bathtub that reflects the yacht's individual character and attention to detail. Three additional guest staterooms provide comfortable accommodation for family and friends.
Beyond her elegant design, SILVERLINING has been conceived as a genuinely capable and safe ocean-going yacht. In 2022 she underwent a comprehensive refit including engine and generator rebuilds, new standing & running rigging, new lithium batteries and solar array, and upgraded electronics & navigation equipment. Her comprehensive sail inventory including a total sail area of 584m2 combined with her carbon spars and rod rigging, hydraulic Harken winches and in boom furling makes her a powerful, yet easy to handle modern cruiser. Her upgraded navigation & communications equipment, and extensive collection of tenders and water sports equipment ensure she is well prepared for life at sea.
Having travelled more than 50,000 nautical miles through private ownership and charter operations, SILVERLINING has established an impressive record as a capable and versatile cruising yacht. Her extensive experience throughout Southeast Asia and the Pacific demonstrates her suitability for both ambitious ocean passages and relaxed exploration of secluded anchorages.
Built to ABS class and benefiting from multiple refits and upgrades since her launch, SILVERLINING offers a compelling combination of proven sailing pedigree, bespoke craftsmanship and genuine long-distance cruising capability.
For an owner seeking the freedom to explore the world's most remarkable cruising grounds, SILVERLINING presents an opportunity to embrace the spirit of adventure aboard a truly distinctive sailing yacht.
